Tennessee is very supportive of Arizona's new immigration act....which is a good thing.
NASHVILLE — Tennesseans favor bringing Arizona’s controversial immigration measure to the state by a four-to-one margin, according to a recent media poll.
Seventy-two percent of voters in the state say they would support enacting a law that would require people stopped by police to prove they are in the country legally. Such legislation would be modeled after an Arizona immigration statute scheduled to go into effect Thursday that lets police charge people who cannot prove their citizenship status under the state’s criminal trespassing laws.

A white supremacist group known for wearing black fatigues and flying swastika flags is expected to rally in downtown Knoxville next month as a show of support for a tougher state immigration law.
The Detroit-based National Socialist Movement has received the required parade and noise permits from the city for its planned demonstration Aug. 14. According to its permit application, the group expects to gather on Market Square and then walk to a subsequent rally on the steps of the Knox County Courthouse on Main Street.
The permits’ applicant, Brian Culpepper, described it as an “anti-amnesty†rally in support of efforts to pass a Tennessee law similar to, “if not tougher†than Arizona’s new immigration law.
“This stuff of looking the other way, it’s got to stop … one way or another,†said Culpepper, a recent Virginia transplant who now represents NSM’s Tennessee chapter based in Decatur.

Why would a group from Detroit, pick our city to protest in?
I'm not sure anyone knows for sure, except the group that picked here to protest. However, we have a lower black population than the other 3 cities...and this past spring, we just finished the third murder trial, for the most horrific "black on white" crime around here in decades. While all three should have been sentenced to death...only one was.

All this is going to do, is reflect badly on the Tea Party.
While I abhor the "white supremist-Nazi wanna-be's".....Memphis is predominately liberal...why can't they go there?
