Glenn Beck is truly scary

I'm watching Glenn Beck for the first time. My hotel doesn't have MSNBC so I thought I check out the crazy fox news.I love it that they need an excuse to watch Beck they can't just be watching it Beck is saying that a year ago he said, "In a year you won't recognize America. Do you recognize it?" He is basically calling for a revolution. Beck is a crazy ****. I am truly scared that there are people drinking this kool-aid. He constantly promotes his website, "Sign up for my newsletter at glennbeck.com" I'm pretty sure my blood pressure is unhealthy at this point. For 8 years when Bush was in office dissent was patriotic now it is scary

1. Complain to the hotel about not having MSNBC.

I can only watch him for about the first 30 seconds to see what he's bitching about now.

He's dangerous but it's hard to tell how many people actually buy his crap.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x8823108

I thought MSNBC was as right wing as Faux?

I also love how any different point of view is "dangerous" hell even Obama himself said there is too much information out there. This is the justification that libs use for wanting to outlaw conservatism. If they can convince themselves we are dangerous then we should be shut up. Liberalism is the real danger in the USA however they should speak all they want.

9. He's crazy like a fox

He stumbled onto a formula that's working for him, so he's milking it for all it's worth. Choose a topic. Mix in the words Socialist, Nazi, Regime, Mao, Republic, Constitution and Freedom. Write confusing diagrams on a blackboard. Repeat.

Most of my friends and family hang on his every word. I think *they're* the ones who are really insane.

I dunno I don't agree with everything he says but, he does know a lot about history. For instance I never knew we had interment camps for Germans in ww1. Somehow I think the dems wish that FDR's camps could have been scrubbed as well.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Sometimes he is sharing opinion which isn't really truth nor is it a lie. But, he does present a lot of historical facts that most people had no idea existed.

DUmmies, if Glenn Beck, and Fox New in general, is so inaccurate, then why don't you create a site to debunk them?  Can you prove, with evidence, that anything they present as fact is false?  How about the evidence they base their opinions on?

Celtic Rose, I found this:

http://glennbeckreport.com/tag/debunk-glenn-beck/

He doesn't do a very good job.  Just calling somebody nuts isn't really a refutation.  Here's a sample:

Quote
7/24/10 – from July 17… Glenn Beck claims that Rev. Al Sharpton is trying to tell you that Dr. King’s “dream” was all about wealth redistribution. Glenn shows some grainy footage where Reverend Al Sharpton uses a rhetorical device (the repetition of the word “house” at the end of the phrase) to describe why the election of Obama as President does not end the struggle for racial equality. Sharpton says:

"The dream was not to put one black family in the White House
the dream was to make everything equal in everybody’s house."

Beck takes this for a completely irrational spin on the Krazy Train as only he can do it. According to Beck, Sharpton is claiming that Dr. King’s dream was to redistribute wealth.

And a sample from the comments section:

Quote
Ha ha your a tool and your attempt to discredit anyone is futile.

and

Quote
This is lame. Even if these were not marginal on the truth-o-meter, there are so few listed as to be laughable. Beck is on every day with that many ops for failure. Is this all you can produce?

Lamo.

I know I've seen posts on the island where the primitives claim MLK, Jr. was a Marxist.  Maybe the kook who does the Glenn Beck blog needs to go over and straighten out his fellow whackjobs.

Whoever posted the link...

Thank you for linking my GlennBeckLies page on www.glennbeckreport.com

It's either the top or in the top 5 for all the major search engines for the phrase "glenn beck lies".

There is a reason for this.  I provide a service to America for free, which is I take the time to sit down and poke little conservative bitches who LOVE Glenn Beck.  It's a win-win. You're aggravated, and America is gratified.

Regarding the comments, we don't get very many there. I don't run a forum.

You seem to be unable to defend Beck on any of the lies I've called him out on, Karin. So why don't you go ad hominem on ME and my "faithful readership"?  You lost already.  A comment I made to my "faithful leadership" has exactly what to do with my political affiliation....? Oh, that's right, NOTHING.

You're a zero.  Thanks for playing.

And to the person who said Beck knows a lot of history... he makes up a lot of history.  He knows almost nothing about it.

And the "light he shines on progressives" guy... he doesn't know a progressive from a NAZI from a fascist from a Marxist.  He just likes to call people names because the more pejoratives you string together the worse bad name it is.

LOL what a ship of fools this is...

Ok lets pretend for a second that Glenn lies all the time. Who's lies are more dangerous his, or President Obama's?
Some people actually believe that health care costs are going down. Some people believe that AZ passed a racist law. Some people believe that the financial reform will create jobs.
People believe all the above because Obama himself lied about it all.
Bonus lie from Obama the health care mandate isn't a tax he rejects that notion. Now it is a tax so he can legally do it.  :lmao:

Oh and can you cite one example of where Beck made up a historical event? Just one should be easy since he does it all the time.

Wait..... just.... a.... minute....

You haven't proven that Obama lied about any of those things.

I have 20 pages of spreadsheet that proves Beck lies.

And that's just a tiny tiny piece of his work.  I don't do it full time, like HE does.   :rotf:

But again, can you actually REFUTE any of what Beck says?  I know he's a bit over the top at times, and a bit overreliant on the histrionics, but damned if he doesn't know his history, and know how to put that CORRECTLY into context.

So where exactly has Beck "made up" history?  Please?  Just ONE itsy-bitsy example?

Ever heard Beck put progressives and NAZIs together?

If you need me to, I will google up a quote, but I think you know he's said that many, many times.

What do you really know about progressives?  Do you know who the resistance to the NAZI party was?  If you said "progressives", I will gently pat you on the head.

Aw, shit man.  Just damn.

Oh, and how will you explain my premiums going UP?  I've already seen where they will when I do open enrollment for 2011.

And taxes?  You DO realize that all his talk about keeping the "Bush" tax cuts in place is just that--talk?  That he has absolutely no intention of extending them for ANYONE, let alone the folks making over $200K a year?  (BTW--I make barely half that and am ready to see increases in my taxes of $2500-3000 per year starting in 2011, and medical insurance to jump by another $1500/year.)  So much for that,  "Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

And FWIW, he made that campaign promise less than 15 minutes from my house in September of 2008, and it was all over the local news as well as the national news.  BTW--that one has already gone down the shitter, hasn't it?

Do you know that Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, and Mussolini ran in many of the same circles?  That at the core, many of their beliefs were essentially the same?

That the only significant difference between the Nazis and the Communists was "national Socialism" versus "INTERnational Socialism"?  That it was the Soviets in the 1930's that tried to drive the ideological wedge between themselves and the fascists?  And that for the last 80 years, ya'll have bought it?

I'd suggest you read Jonah Goldberg's book, "Liberal Fascism".  Do ya a world of good.

When did the health insurance reform go into effect... oh, damn. That's right, most of it doesn't happen for another 4 years, thanks to the Party of NO, who also stuffed it chock-full-o'-goodies for their friends in the insurance industry.

I know the Dems have those too, in fact John Kerry is the highest recipient of insurance money lifetime of anyone on the Senate Finance Committee.

But it's just plain ignorant to claim that Obama "lied" about your insurance premiums because of something he said in a stump speech that happened 5 years before the reform package is implemented.

No, dear boy--the so-called "BENEFITS" don't go into effect for four years.  The taxes go into effect IMMEDIATELY.  The reason the costs were spun as they were because they're taxing for 10 years to pay for 6 years worth of stuff.  Oh, and ask those folks on Medicare/Medicaid how they're doing finding doctors these days.

It is simple...demand coverage of high risk cases, the pool has to grow to provide enough resources.
There is a reason that there is a waiting period,so as one doesn`t skip coverage and then demand care at others expense.

The sure way to seem to have lost an argument is set up a straw man, nice try.
