Shitterton sign now in stone to discourage thieves
« on: July 26, 2010, 02:26:20 PM »
Quote
After repeatedly losing their sign to potty humor thieves, residents of Shitterton, Dorset, England decided to fight back with a large stone.
Ian Ventham, chairman of the parish council, told Sky News: "Every two or three years somebody comes along and nicks our sign because, clearly, Shitterton is amusing.
"We think it was kids who would like to have it stuck on the wall in a den somewhere. I don't think it was malicious, they just did it for fun, but it was exasperating for us.
"We would get a nice new shiny sign from the council and five minutes later, it was gone."

Or they could, maybe, change the name of the town. For instance, names like Crapville, or Dungberg, or even Diarrheapolis are much better than the current name.

It's a thorough waste of time trying to fight off sign-stealers.

I'll bet that shit weighs a ton.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

I dunno.  I tried to move a stone once.  Most painful experience of my life.

You know, when it's all said and done, I just don't give a Shitterton.
