Pete Domenici, R-N.M., or others should be prosecuted for his dismissal."Evidence did not demonstrate that any prosecutable criminal offense was committed with regard to the removal of David Iglesias," the Justice Department said in a letter to lawmakers Wednesday. I may have missed something, but I never knew what the big deal was with the firings. US Attorneys serve at the President's pleasure so he can hire and fire as he pleases. Right?
And if I remember right, Clinton fired more than President Bush did.
