I think that "moonbattery" (you should trademark that word!) is relative to the current conservative threat of the day. In the 70's, it was Nixon. In the 80's, it was Reagan. In the 90's, it was Gingrich, and when he was silenced (and started to move to the left), it was Tom Delay and Trent Lott. And of course, Bush throughout the 2000's. But I've noticed a huge drop in the "indict and imprison Bush/Rove" rants, now being supplanted by Sarah Palin.
When the GOP Congress takes over, the new target will most probably be John Boehner, or whomever the conservatives select as Speaker. In addition, they will gang up on the new Senate Majority leader. These two individuals will receive the bulk of DUmpster hatred. Finally, the ire will be directed to the GOP candidate for president, and if it's Sarah Palin, Katy bar the door. Bush will be a distant memory.
