Brings up hopes a niniscule percentage, but the elections are too far away as of now. If it keeps going the way it's going though, Palin could be looked on a sight more favorably.

Note that the polls are trying to drum up the support for Romney, and Gingrich fer chrissakes! to run against Obama.

Don't be fooled. I know Romney is watching from the background, but this is not a "background" political atmosphere anymore.

Make NO mistake at all. John McCain may have been the ultimate Desert RINO, but he did two things.

And even though he was a crappy presidential candidate, he introduced the REAL spark that reignited the conservative movement: Sarah Palin.

Agreed, GOPC. I firmly believe she will be leading our mation in short order. Although, she is going to be the one that inherited the TRUE mess. The left thinks Bush left them a ****ed up country??

Palin is my #1 candidate who is much more conservative than Romney or Huck. In fact, both of them are tax and spend RINO's trying to masquerade as fiscal conservative. As Governor, there is a world of difference between the fiscal restraint she exhibited opposed to Mitt and Huck.

Just to clarify: The Public Policy Polling organization is an "advocacy polling" organization that structures the polls to their clients' audiences. Since the media had commissioned the polls, and supplied the question criteria, it leads to believe that the poll is structured and directed to achieve the results the client desires.

And since the media fears Sarah Palin the most, they are trying to inoculate the public from accepting Sarah Palin as a credible GOP candidate. To that end, this poll actually CONFIRMS my estimation that Palin will be the republican nominee, especially if the conservative GOP Congress maintains a successful agenda despite the expected media assaults on its existence.

If the poll were done fairly, they would easily find that Palin would have a significant lead among likely GOP/conservative/libertarian voters. It took some creative setup questions, and perhaps a skewed polling target populace, to come up with the desired result of having Palin behind the more moderate (hence, more amenable to compromise with the socialist agenda) individuals of Romney and Gingrich.

If the Presidential election were held in Nov., Palin would beat the O badly. I hope she wins the nomination. However, there are a bunch of RINO's and Eastern Repubs that are against her. She is not a blue blood Ivy league and the party bosses are in a hissy.

Ya know, I like the guy and I think he's a nice man. I'd trust him with my dog. I think of him as like an ideal father-in-law. I just can't think of him as president for some reason. Help me put my finger on it.

I may have to take heat over this, but Huckabee just strikes me as a boring bastard. I mean, how would you like to have Ben Stein as president. Huck isn't monotone, but I find that I can't get into what he's saying even if I agree with him. I think Stein is smart as a whip, but his SOTU Addresses would be lullabies. That's kind of how I feel about Huckabee, but not to the same extreme extent.

What just infuriates me about Sarah Palin's unfavorable ratings in any poll--52% here--is that they're the result of a full-on, pedal-to-the-medal libmedia/entertainement media character assassination job that worked. If you figure 30% of the unfavorable rating for Palin is the Dem/lib group who would hate her no matter what, then 22% of Americans are just so stupid and sheeplike that they disapprove of her for no real reason, just because they've beem immersed in non-stop lying propaganda about her. They've been told x,y, and z about her so much that naturally they believe x,y, and z are true.

I'm not an elitist, but you don't have to be an elitist to accept the plain truth, which is that the majority of people are both somewhat stupid, mentally pliable, and find it much easier to have a media tell them what to think than to think for themselves. Damn depressing.

Have to disagree. Men have screwed up things so bad that it will take someone like Palin or Bachmann to pull us out of the ditch. Insiders like Mitt, Newt, Huck are too cozy with the Repub elites to make dramatic changes.

I agree. I don't think we need another old guard retread like those guys.
