Hope?
« on: July 15, 2010, 03:43:50 PM »
Quote
“What Republicans are offering the American people is a pledge, a pledge to do everything in our power to restore government to a size and scope that leads to some semblance of competency," he said. "We’re not going to tell you that if you vote Republican, you’re going to wake up in your dream home with a brand new Corvette outside ready to take you to the best job in the world. You know why? Because government can’t deliver that promise.”

Is the GOP finally learning?

According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

If I was a shit-bag weasel political advisor to some snivelling RINO, i.e. John McCain's campaign manager, I would council:

"Sir, let's see how this NAACP charge against the Tea Party resonates. The NAACP is the biggest arrow in their quiver. They've got the media connection, they've got the history and they've got general goodwill of the public so far.

"If the charges stick we're safely at a distance.

"If the charge doesn't stick the NAACP is a dead advocacy group walking and popular perception of the Tea Party will insulate them from the inevitable fusillade of racism allegations. That means whatever crap is thrown at them won't stick and so it won't hurt you to stand too close to them."

You're a starry-eyed idealist.

Make that pink-eyed.
