She's certainly attractive, not my favorite look but certainly nothing to scorn.  I suppose the drug dealer reference is due to her rather deeply cut facial features, which look a bit unusual with such full lips, but it's an extraordinarily harsh thing to say.

I've seen it on other women and they looked fairly stunning.  They were Romanian extraction.

The way a woman carries herself and dresses means a lot to me.  I hate to say it, but American girls really need some work in those categories.  Way too many try to dress and walk like men, and I ain't even talking about the butches.

I will go on record to say that Mel Gibson is freaking EPIC!  Those insults were so creative and nasty that he gets my approval.  Not many people in this world can say something that stings like a bitch smack with a leather glove filled with nails like that.  He rocks!

Mel Gibson needs serious help. He "picked" her. He knew how she dressed and her personality before he had a baby with her. He admits to hitting her in one tape, he is out of control.

Absolutely. I think many were able to forgive or at least get past his other out of control moments. But this is the icing on the cake. The anger he has... The hyperventilating almost... Scary. Had Oksana been there with him, I wonder how he would have acted toward her. I can only imagine he would have gotten physical (since he's admitted to doing so before).

It is a shame. A shame in general that anyone could be so angry and out of control, but also this guy has talent. And he's been given a second (or third, fourth) chance. This is more than just racist, bigoted stuff. He is mental. I hope he gets help for the sake of his children. However, I am not so sure Hollywood can forgive him again. Of course he has enough money to last his family 10 lifetimes, but that won't do it for him. I think him being rejected in his profession will only send him further into oblivion.

Having spent several years in a "violent" home situation as a teenager...I would never ever advocate this kind of abuse.

However....it took me a long time to realize (through therapy, among other things) that there are women out there who know which "buttons" to push to trigger Gibson's explosion - for want of a better word. And sadly enough...there are also women who for whatever reason....will stay in an abusive relationship and also will behave in a way that they know will bring on more abuse. It's a type of sickness.

This woman was somewhere very safe, and able to remain very very calm, record the entire conversation and never lose her composure, but made sure that Gibson did. She knew exactly which buttons to push to trigger the abuse.

According to what I heard on the tv this morning...it has yet to be established, by voice recognition, that it really is Mel Gibson.

Based on his past behavior with alcoholism, racial rants....the tapes sound exactly like anyone would expect him to be...because we all "know" how he can be.

If a woman was devious enough....and wanted to destroy someone enough....what a perfect way to do it.

I'm sure there are many of us who have gotten extremely angry when the right buttons were pushed, that we have said things that we certainly wouldn't want recorded. I know I have. While I have never been violent, I do have a wicked temper that on the very rare occasions has come out, and I have been unbelievably hateful. (one person who witnessed it once, said they couldn't believe I had that capability!)

I'm not saying he never hit her, but it's been reported that even her friends have said they never saw any evidence of broken teeth or of any type of evidence that she has been physically abused.

He obviously needs to get some help....no doubt about it.

But I have to wonder ...what was her motive?

Could be. I think she purposely punched those buttons for everyone to see. To take him down. She's scared of him. If someone can get that angry, there is a problem. She may have been purposefully trying to get him riled up, but it sure didn't seem to take a lot. Imagine if she had really done something to upset him. I do believe it to be him on the phone, and I do believe he punched her. Probably more than once. He is a loon. Like I said, I hope he can get some help. What I don't get is how alot of people are saying that its over for Mel and his career yet we have seen time and again many examples of behaviour just as bad and some of them actually made money from it. For example these people here,

Dog The Bounty Hunter

Alec Baldwin

Steven Segal

Ice-T (He was just in Omaha for a road race this week)

Snoop Dog (He even was on the Muppet Show)


All of these people can get away with being louts and still have careers and yet Mel can't? I agree that if he did hit her its wrong but as has been pointed out it hasn't been proven to be him and he is still innocent till the judge and jury say otherwise.
