I cringed when he dropped the mace on the glass counter and shattered it.  Ouch.

I don't think he's really THAT stupid, BUT.......... one never knows. In all honesty, I think he's playing to the camera and making himself appear more stupid than he really is.

That's a pretty cool show, even if it is a bit unrealistic at times.  I'm voting that Chum's... well... isn't the sharpest tool, but I'm sure they're also haming it up for entertainment.

Yea - I agree. I kind of feel sorry for the guy since he does try. I like Rick because he provides the technical/historical background of the stuff that comes into the shop.
Corey? Worthless.

I don't see how they deal with some of the idiots. Like the guy with the Dances with Wolves saddle that he kept insisting was in the movie. Even after the expert determined it wasn't :banghead:

I like seeing the patrons not having what they thought they did. One guy came in with an "antique gun" of some sort. He must have paid an awful lot  of money for it  because when he discovered that it was a reproduction, he about had a fit. Then there was another guy with a "silver doubloon" or something and it turned out to be a fake, too. The neatest things about the show is some of the historical items that are coming out of the woodwork.

Pawn Stars is our family favorite!  I am friends with Chum on facebook and he really isn't very smart.  Seems really sweet and harmless though.

Did you catch the guy last season trying to sell a barely-running house-painted Datsun 280zx for $15 grand?  Dude said "it's worth $60,000-80,000."  Bwahahaha!!  I'd a bought it for $500 in parts since the entire car would need to be stripped and professionally re-painted.

Tried watching that one, but can't really get into it. Not sure why. They do find some great stuff.

You look up "shifty-eyed" weasel in the dictionary and you'd see a picture of Rick...although, "Fat Hoss" might be gunning for the crown after I saw what he robbed that guy for on the 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa with about $10,000 in aftermarket parts on it.

Too depressing to watch.

I watched some guy who was a landing craft pilot in WW2 try to pawn-off his father's navigation maps to the Okinawa landings just so his daughter could get maried.

"DON'T @#$%ING DO IT!" I screamed at the TV. "Thta's your father's legacy!"

"And you know the little bitch will just be moving back to your house in 5 years towing 3 brats. DON'T DO IT!"
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Did ya see the one where the guy walked in with an ejection seat out of a frikkin' jet?! The thing had been sittin' in his living room armed for years! I found it amazing no one ever pulled the release!

Idiot: "Ya mean if we had pulled that, we would have shot thru the roof?"

Appraiser: "Probably about 450 feet!"

It's a wonder this guy was still alive! I know one of my buds would have done it during one of our beer drinkin' binges!

Oh the swearing in our house when that guy brought that in shamed all of the deceased sailors in the world!  When someone brings in an heirloom to sell for some stupid reason I wanna strangle them.  Who the hell is that stupid except meth heads and gambling addicts?
