Dear Lurking DUmbasses, RE: the Deepwater Horizon Disaster
« on: June 17, 2010, 12:27:23 PM »
I'm watching you're site with rapt fascination.

Everyday there are innumerable thread posting pictures, graphs, reports etc etc etc of all the various details of the spill. I've seen so many photos of oil covered wildlife I think I know how to get my car to run on pelicans. I see the gnashing of teeth, I can all but hear the wailing eminating from your parents basements.

I really wish the spill had never happened. I know in time the wildlife and eco systems will recover as they have in the past and I'm genuinely glad.

BUT...

...I remember well how over the last several years you little assholes have denigrated the memory of 9/11. You told us we were dwelling on it, using it to foment racist hatred and the "little Eichmanns" had it coming.

Nevermind the conspiracy theories.

You know something you little assholes, as much as I regret the disaster and look forward to the restoration I'm going to tell you here and now that this is nothing in comparison to 9/11. Sure it was negligience but it wasn't a deliberate assault by misogynist camel-rapers.

If 9/11 can be so readily dismissed despite its human toll how then shall we view the BP spill on a graded scale?

Let me know when Michael Moore does a movie that centers on Obama sitting there for 60 days listening to readings of "My Pet Joe."

Fun Fact: Each small to medium wind farm kills between 500-750 raptor each and every year. I know.....they don't count.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

What Id like to see is a primitive do a little research on when the drilling of the Macondo Well began, and then get back to me. I suspect though that research will never, ever happen.

They'll never do it -- too scary.. :lmao:

Maybe a riddle will help break the Ice.. "Whats deep underwater, spews black goo, and didn't exist on January 20th, 2009 ? " - to make it even easier - this mystery thing continued to not exist until the end of October, 2009...
