I HAD A DREAM LAST NIGHT   Updated at 12:08 PM

L GORE WON AND WAS ELECTED( NOT SELECTED)
A LOOK AT A DIFFERENT 2010
He would have continued Clinton/Newt Fiscal Policies of Pay Your Way
We would continue to have Surpluses not Debt as far as the eye can see
Debt today would be 6000B not 12000B
2010 Budget would be 3000B not 3800
Unemployment would be 5% not the real 17%.
Food Stamp Roll would be 10% not 40%
Unemployment Insurance Roll would be low
Redistribution of Wealth back to Middle Class would have continued
The top 1% would own 20% not 43% of Total Financial Wealth
He would have continued Taxing the top 1%
Wall Street Regulators would be under experts not Partners In Crime
We would have 400 military bases not 800 worldwide
We would not have two wars
We would not have lost thousands of lives of young youths
Hundreds of thousands of Muslims would still be alive
Thousands of young Muslims would still have legs feet and minds
America would still be the most admired nation on Earth not the most despised
We would go back to behaving as a Christ-Like nation via our national policies
Millions would own homes not foreclosure notices
States would not be laying off hundreds of thousands in such important jobs as
Teaching and Policing California would have a balanced budget
John Kerry would be President.
Sound common sense policies would continue.

More liberal :jerkit:

Don't care how much they :jerkit: it, all they ever get is dust ....and more dust.

Waste of time and space.

Maybe since they're leftist, it would work better if they used their left hand.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

This is so easily disputable but I'm on my way to Pennsylvania so I'll be back later to dispute it. Here's hoping to see tons of Toomey signs on the highway! :-)

I doubt that the Clinton recession of 2000-2001 would have kept up those illusionary surpluses.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I had a dream too! I dreamed that the shister known as ALgore was arrested for duping the public on Gullible Warming and was sentence to life with Ben Dover as his cell mate!

Oh yeah, and Tipper ran off with Rush! That's when I knew it was a dream damnit, cause Rush just got married to a "classy" chick!

clarence, you really need to break free from the DU bubble.

The Myth of the Clinton Surplus

http://www.craigsteiner.us/articles/16

Time and time again, anyone reading the mainstream news or reading articles on the Internet will read the claim that President Clinton not only balanced the budget, but had a surplus. This is then used as an argument to further highlight the fiscal irresponsibility of the federal government under the Bush administration.

The claim is generally made that Clinton had a surplus of $69 billion in FY1998, $123 billion in FY1999 and $230 billion in FY2000 . In that same link, Clinton claimed that the national debt had been reduced by $360 billion in the last three years, presumably FY1998, FY1999, and FY2000--though, interestingly, $360 billion is not the sum of the alleged surpluses of the three years in question ($69B + $123B + $230B = $422B, not $360B).

While not defending the increase of the federal debt under President Bush, it's curious to see Clinton's record promoted as having generated a surplus. It never happened. There was never a surplus and the facts support that position. In fact, far from a $360 billion reduction in the national debt in FY1998-FY2000, there was an increase of $281 billion.

Verifying this is as simple as accessing the U.S. Treasury (see note about this link below) website where the national debt is updated daily and a history of the debt since January 1993 can be obtained. Considering the government's fiscal year ends on the last day of September each year, and considering Clinton's budget proposal in 1993 took effect in October 1993 and concluded September 1994 (FY1994), here's the national
debt at the end of each year of Clinton Budgets:

Fiscal
Year     Year Ending     National Debt                  Deficit
FY1993    09/30/1993    $4.411488 trillion
FY1994    09/30/1994    $4.692749 trillion    $281.26 billion
FY1995    09/29/1995    $4.973982 trillion    $281.23 billion
FY1996    09/30/1996    $5.224810 trillion    $250.83 billion
FY1997    09/30/1997    $5.413146 trillion    $188.34 billion
FY1998    09/30/1998    $5.526193 trillion    $113.05 billion
FY1999    09/30/1999    $5.656270 trillion    $130.08 billion
FY2000    09/29/2000    $5.674178 trillion    $17.91 billion
FY2001    09/28/2001    $5.807463 trillion    $133.29 billion

Redistribution of Wealth back to Middle Class would have continued

Any wealth that's redistributed goes to the poor, the middle class end up bearing a burden as far as taxes go in particular property taxes, at least in my case.

We would not have two wars
We would not have lost thousands of lives of young youths
Hundreds of thousands of Muslims would still be alive
Thousands of young Muslims would still have legs feet and minds

You're right, we probably wouldn't of had 2 wars because Gore like Clinton would've ignored Islam being at war with us. Under Clinton's watch we had:

WTC1
Somalia
Khobar Towers
African Embassy Bombings
USS Cole
WTC 2 happened after Bush was in office for 6 months, Clinton ignored the terrorist threat. How many times were we attacked after 9/11 under Bush?

Quote
America would still be the most admired nation on Earth not the most despised

We've always been admired, at least until now, and those who didn't admire us were just simply jealous of us, similar to the jealousy the left has about those in our society who work hard to achieve wealth. clarence, you name 1 Country who ever gave so much of itself ie money and lives for others? you can't because there isn't 1. And if you ask me, I'd rather be feared and respected then admired, and if you even think for a 2nd we're admired with Obama? you're just fooling yourself!

Quote
We would go back to behaving as a Christ-Like nation via our national policies

How? you have leftist Judges who've forced God our of the schools and trying hard to force God out of our lives. Can I ask you clarence how Christ-like is it to support babies being partially born then sticking a scalpel in the neck to sever the spine to kill the baby? or how about looking at an ultrasound of a baby when an abortion is being done and seeing that baby struggle to stay alive? or how about a politician from Chicago voting against the baby born alive act and basically agreeing to flinging that baby into a cold room to die alone? or how about purposely, for political gain, keeping a segment of society down and forcing them to
become dependent on Government? how Christ-like is that clarence?

Quote
Millions would own homes not foreclosure notices

You can blame that on Democrats who basically gave homes to people who couldn't afford it, and also blame the President who through his policies has caused unemployment to inch towards 10%.

Quote
States would not be laying off hundreds of thousands in such important jobs as
Teaching and Policing California would have a balanced budget

You can also blame that on the current President and his policies and blame the greedy unions.

Quote
John Kerry would be President.
Sound common sense policies would continue.

You're so living in a denial-land clarence.

Actually, the top 1 percent of taxpayers only make about 20 percent of the income, DUmbasses.

No, just male of the species and honest. And perhaps single? No married man who wants to keep "relations" at an even keel would admit this. Unless of course wifey is not looking over their shoulder! lol!
