Any True Blood fans here?

I didn't see a TV/movie forum, so this is where I am posting this.


ANYWAY, the new season starts Sunday, and I am so freakin' excited. I love love love the show, and it is about the only show on HBO that has gotten my attention since the Soprano's. I am totally not a vampire fan, but this show pulled me in.

So, who else watches? And what I'd like to know what you think is going to be happening this season.

Love True Blood!  So do my kids Sookie and Jason. :-)  I have read all of the books the series is based off of but last season diverted so far away from the books that I have no idea what is going to happen.  I just hope it involves Erik being naked a lot.

So, would I be safe to assume you'd like to see Sookie and Erik hook up? Since you have read the books (I have not, but I have heard some about them), you know it is a possibility. Especially with how things ended last season. I am a Sam fan. If she is gonna cheat on Bill, I'd like Sam to get some action.  :-)

I have heard that the books are a good bit different from the show. Lafayette, from what I've heard, had a much smaller part in the books. Is that correct?

LOL!! I've kinda grown to love my little caveman werewolf!!

I have thought about changing it, but then something makes me not want to. I have no clue what it is. I have had the same avatar at DU for the whole time I've been there. There was a small time period where I had my Matthew McConaughey as a profile pic, but I then changed it back to the good ole hamster. Give me some time, and I will find something silly to replace it with. I think that is why I like it because it is silly.

I just wanna see Erik naked.  I don't really care who he is with.  Sam gets plenty of loving in the books.  I figure eventually she will end up bedding him too.  Lafayette died in book one I believe.  I was so pissed when I read that after seeing season 1.  I thought if they killed him off I was done!

Me too.  I just reupped my subscription to HBO so I could catch the premier.
Gotta say this though:  there are many, many other paranormal romance series out there that would make an even more superb tv show.  I won't glaze anyone's eyes over with a long list, but they are definitely out there.

I DO have a pet peeve with this series and others, which is that why is it suddenly hawt for the heroine to play the field and bed several guys, or more?  Women have, as a general rule, called men who played around endearing terms like pigs.  It shouldn't be any more or less acceptable for a woman to run around nailing every guy she meets up with any more than it is for a guy.

Gotta be the fact that Bill gave him some of his blood to keep him alive after the sacrifice last season. I am quite sure Sam isn't happy about  dreaming sexual dreams about Bill. They aren't exactly BFFs. It freaked me out too. I thought it was real at first. Sam is my man!!!! Apparently the blood makes you want that person. Sookie will be loving on Erik before long I am sure. She had some of his blood, and she's had the dreams about him too. Apparently it knows no gender.

Yeah it explains it more clearly in the books.  The blood exchange makes the person seriously and uncontrollably drawn to the vampire that provided the blood.  I don't think there will be any Sam on Bill action though.

OK on with the important stuff!  DID YOU SEE ERIK'S ASSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!??!?!?!?!??!  HOLY CRAP ON A STICK!!!!!!!!!  That was the most beautiful ass I have ever seen in my entire life!  Thank you HBO for giving me like 3 minutes of uninterrupted ass time with my boyfriend Mr. Northman!
