The militia movements and the TEA party movements are two totally separate entities and mindsets. The TEA party movement is growing because the Government is "partying" on our dime. People are getting tired of it. Then, there's the local governments that are building schools that are outrageously overdone, spending, spending, spending.

The militias are forming because they are afraid of what the government is doing.

I'd love to see any REPUTABLE studies showing that militias are growing or being formed at a rate any more than any other period in recent history.

And NO, Mark Potok of the SPLC does not count as a reference.

Since gun and ammo sales went up with the crowning of The One, obviously they were being bought by people joining right wing, racist militias. [/DUmode]

Mr tingly worked for the Carter administration that alone should be enough to disqualify anything he says. With that said what do you expect? He's Lame stream media he painted the Tea Party as extremist without a shred of evidence! Like Thor said 2 separate movements but he will say anything to get more than 100 people to watch PMSNBC.

I saw the last 20 mins of his "speshul". It was rife with lies, innuendos, and barely tangential associations. I'm going to watch the whole thing and give a report on it. THREE definite lies in the last 20 mins and a whole lot more of untruthfulness. I was yelling at the TV, calling Matthews a LIAR just about every three minutes, it seemed.

Yeah Tweety is right after all a few months ago the teabirthers were throwing bottles at cops during a protest. Oh wait that was illegal immigrants doing that. I'm sure he did a special exposing the violence from them I must have just missed it.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I don't even watch the damn idiot window any more, except when I'm on the elliptical. Then it's "Holmes on Homes", which is about as far removed from Chris Matthews as it gets.

Given the viewership numbers, that old dipshit might as well switch to podcast.
