Obama Taken for a Walk
« on: June 09, 2010, 02:22:36 PM »

Quote
This is the guy who's going to kick some ass? He can barely keep his dog on a leash. Maybe Bo's a union dog leading him around.

Quote
It was meant to be a walk in the park. But, with his hands gripped tightly around his dog’s red leash, Barack Obama is clearly struggling to show Bo who’s boss.

Dressed casually in a white open-neck shirt with the sleeves rolled up, the stressed U.S. president gritted his teeth in embarrassment as he failed to gain control of the family pet.

I can't tell from the photo, but it appears that the dog is not wearing a harness, just a collar.  Dog & animal rights groups should be pissed at him for that, as dogs that pull a lot should wear a harness for walks.  Just wearing the collar can do serious damage to the dogs' necks.

Looks like the prez was looking for a positive photo op and ended up looking foolish.

I'm sure they will be, just as the feminist movement called out Bill Clinton about sexual harassment.  Oh, wait ...

Everyone is trying to run away as far as they can from Obama.....even the first dog.

When I was owned by a 150 pound Rottie I bought a device that fits over the neck and mussel.   She could still open her mouth to bark and drink water and gave me total control of her.

I had seen these devices at dog shows to control the huge breeds and they place no stress on the dogs neck, just their face.  This works like a halter on a horse or bit in their mouth.

I would like to see a picture of Obama actually allowing the dog to touch him, lick him or him patting the dog.

That picture looks like Obama is scared to death of the dog.

It's quite possible that the feeling is mutual.

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

Taking a second look at that picture----both black and white, ---he in black pants, white shirt, dog in black and white coat,  Obama having no idea how to control the dog that was said to have been through obedience training--- this poor dog has NO RESPECT for the handler.

Strange but why should I respect a leader, handler whose own dog has no respect for them.??   This dog should sit at his side and follow the comand to walk, should keep his eyes on Obama and be ready to follow any other command.

It seems that few expect much from this dog, and we wonder now what to expect from Obama.

Crap, this dog should be taught to sit and with one paw salute the flag. To be at Obamas side 24/7 and perhaps trained to be a service dog, Obama drop his napkin at dinner the dog will pick it up and place it in his lap.

We are a crazy dog country, we are a people that will pay more attention to the Presidents pets then his state of the nation address.

The white house and it's PR needs to look into this, a perfect smoke screen for what is really going on.

Obama is missing a good bet here, get that dog trained to capture the hearts of the dog lovers world everywhere about the globe and let his dog get front page notice for saluting our flag, becoming a mascott for the Navy or what not.

Where are the pictures of Obama hiking his leg on a fire hydrant and then dragging his butt on the ground?

So much for my day of rest from CC. You and Vesta have goaded me into a smarmy arsed reply.  First, this photo should have a long overdue photo shop.  I can see Hamas Helen on all fours shopped-in pulling Teh Wun along.

Then too, as this is dog is Son of Splash, where's his brandy keg?  Splash of course was Ded Ted's dog.  Teh Wun needs to be careful walking in Arlington Cemetery less Son of Splash takes leave of his bowel to let go a fitting tribute on the headstone of said Ded Ted.  :-)

And now Vesta, a moment of silence for the last Democrat First Dog to occupy 1600 Pennsylvania "Buddy".  Was he actually the victim of an Arkancide?? Did he know too much?? Buddy, it seems, could never seem to suck up to Bubba the way Monica did. :whatever:

Now, now Zeit, Buddy was a beautiful dog and for his breed was perfection.

I have thought deep and dark thoughts about him from the moment I heard about his untimely death.

First there are millions of us who love our dogs to the point of having them trained for our and their protection.  We make sure our dogs do not bolt out of the house to be hit by a car, we bond with our dogs and have them trained by the best we can afford.

Frankly, I do not trust any man or woman who has no pets, cat or dog.  Shows a relentice to obligate themselves to anything but themselves.

History is great, our most famous warriors had a dog at their side 24/7 or some of the men had a Big cat on a chain beside them.  Unfortunately these men were killed because their life line, the dog or cat was not at their side at that moment.

This is actually a very insightful post.

If you can't get your dog under control...how can you get your kids....or in Obama's case, the office of the President?
