It seems as if you have first hand knowledge of this subject...........
Sure do, 6 week rotation in Public health in Nursing school. A very short time but enough for me to get the Willie Was.
Thor, I saw things that came in off the street in Norfork that we had to take pictures of to send to the CDC to find out, with skin scrapings just what the heck was going on.
Not so strange that we saw members [ no pun intended] of service men back from overseas that were afraid to go to the military doctors for fear their family would demand to know what was going on.
The military does its best to protect there men and woman but when a man comes come with a day glow penis their best bet is Public Health.
I learned that a large number of the woman of 80 at that time, in nursing homes whose husbands had served in the first world war had come home and infected their wives with syphilis.
The strain at that time caused no symptoms in the woman until they went into their 60's. Then the brain was effected.
Most of my training in Public Health was in the treatment of VD and Thor it was horrid. Adults were a problem but when Children as young as 3 years old were brought in by social workers to be tested and the tests came up positive, I just thank heavens this was just for 6 weeks, my stress level was at a 9 on a 1-10 range.
Thor, I was subjected to the most God awful educational films in school one can imagine. WTF these were just films until a real life human comes in and brings the film to life for you.
