Truther DUmmies still hate NatGeo's examination of them
« on: May 31, 2010, 10:24:59 AM »
It originally aired a while ago, but NatGeo aired it yesterday, too.  The Truthers get themselves in a tizzy again because the science doesn't fit their conclusions:

Same old same old, so I'm not going to cut-n-paste any posts.  I will say, though, that I have no doubt that Truthers to a man are motivated solely by their personal hatred of George W. Bush.

The show also reminded me of this:

It was the nano-thermite evasion from the truthers in the program that made me turn the channel.

Total lack of det-cord at G0? No problem, just reach into your bag of sci-fi tricks and call out a technology that is so-o-o-o secret only the government could possibly have it, ergo the government obviously did it, i.e. lack of evidence proves the premise.

Of course one of the points brought out by the truthers was: none of the civilian demo experts they talk to use the stuff.

That means only the government could employ the stuff.

But that means the government has a monopoly on nano-thermite technicians.

But that means everyone involved in the government's nano-thermite program is 100% politically reliable.

That means political reliability would be the first factor in selecting people for such training.

This means the truthers impugn the patriotism and morality of the US military.

But truth is: the only people I've ever encountered who have been in the military and who would allow politics to trump overall dedication to the US as a nation are Paulestinians and lefties.

O man, that one is a classic. It even made the national blog scene.

Bunny, you have my okay to go take some tylenol and no less than 3 fingers bourbon at your earliest convenience.  That had to have hurt to think all the way through that DUmmi-tude like that.  (Like my okay matters a damn...)

Yeah, the nano-thermite bit made me laugh.  I started yelling at the Truthers on the screen that the BFEE used phasers and photon torpedoes, too.

...no less than 3 fingers bourbon...

How do you think I figured it out in the first place?

Look, you can't reason with 9/11 Truthers. It's like trying to reason with Osama bin Laden or Adolf Hitler. It is a religion to them like Jihad or Global Warming.

nano-thermite

 ::)

Yep, confronted with facts, laws of physics, etc. the "Truthers" will pull whatever they can find out of their backside. Nano-thermite really takes the cake though.
