I'm fed up with this country and the ruling class.
I hear Mexico's headcount is down twenty million or so; why don't you try there?
My adult daughter died from causes that could have been corrected if she could have access to medical care. the medical profession had the nerve of turning her over to a collection agency, nothing like killing your patient if they can't pay.
Only bills can be sent for collection and bills can only be demanded if services have been rendered.
Ergo your daughter did not die from lack of medical attention. Odds are she was treated and current interventions were not adequate and you are too emotionally stunted to come to terms with reality. I'd offer my condolences but pity is an addicting drug to people like you and I don't wish to be an enabler.
Every time I read about a doctor or dentist going to under developed countries to offer their services I want to scream. Last year we had medical services being delivered in stables because so many people are in need. The dental profession is the worst offender. What good does scaled down fees do when all one can do is keep the rent paid and the heat on for an elder? I deeply resent this nation that gives medical care to others and those in need have voices are never heard.
So you want the government to order those private charities back home?
I pay for my utilities, rent, etc. I'm sure those workers of the companys I pay have benefits that I'll never receive even though I work two jobs.
You could try applying at those companies...or do those workers you berate possess skill sets you lack, hence their higher income.
You realize of course if those are union workers you're committing an act of sacrilege at DU.
My teeth are rotting along with my adult grandson's that cannot find employment despite having attending audio/visual training at a vocational school.
And I studied porn for many years, I should have a job as a porn star!
When my girls were young I remember the poor child care I had to endure so I could work to survive. They had to be up at 5am and walk to the sitters and then they could only sit until school started. Find another sitter you say? I had no car to find another sitter and there were none around that I could afford.
I hear poverty is a good reason to abort.
Of course financial stability and committed relationships BEFORE having children also could have helped.
In developed Europe
Not to be confused with 3rd world New York or California.
this abusive situation would not need to occur, only in America...where there is a 6 bedroom house for one or two people but a one bedroom house for 10 people.
We are raised to think capitalism is great, anyone can become rich! And our greed falls right into that gaslighting. Capitalism means you sell at the cheapest price what ever it is. Has it dawned on anyone BP was going on the cheap
So what you're saying is: your aforementioned poverty would be alleviated if only the providers of the goods and services you need/want would charge you even more money?
and that is why now we have people unable to earning their living as they always have in Louisana. But of course we will keep worshiping capitalism because those that benefit from the system have enough power to keep it going. No wonder they don't want government powerful...they might have to be responsible for killing their workers or sickening them.
I thought that's what lawyers are for.
We as a nation are becoming so close to labor as slavery it is shameful.
For those of you not fit to survive on your own that might just be the best course.
And the right to lifers make sure the poor and near poor have no access to abortion.
You kept yours.
But the monied can just go to Canada or Europe and get an abortion.
1.5 million RICH women a year abort?
A trip to Europe is cheaper than $500 at the local Rape 'N Scrape?
If the poor cannot avail themselves of abortion services then the monied that go to Europe and Canada ought to be tried for murder along with the poor American.
Um-m-m...
Yeah,I can just see that happening, what a laugh. There are worse things than not being born and one of them is a lifetime of stress and lack that those experiencing poverty experience.
Like your life of poverty?
What we have here folks, is a person who is suicidally depressed transferring her death ideations onto the unborn.
Approximately 20% of American children are poor and/or hungry and in a nation that is one of the more wealthy.
And obesity is the #1 health care issue among America's poor.

And still you sit and take it!
Goddam violence-inciting Teabaggers
This system feeds on the poor. Foreclosure is a good example. I grew up in an era where there were limits on the percent of interest that could be charged on loans. ARMs should have been illegal.
Yes, poor people should not have any opportunity to buy their own home.
Better still, all those construction workers who presumably make more money than you, like the utility workers you mentioned earlier, should be forced to work for free, just like those doctors you were complaining about, and they should give you a home and only AFTER you have been given a free home, free clothes, free medical care, free food, free utilities should you have to go to work so you can pay them what you decide is fair.
Of course then I'm thinking there will be a new class of people who complain how poor they have become and how they have to slave away for those who already have homes and cars and food and medical care and they have nothing to show for THEIR efforts.
Every time I read or hear about painful cuts in the budget, I know the pain is going to be on those least able to compensate for the cuts. I feel like I've spent most of my life living in hell. I would not work against this nation but I do not admire it, it leaves a lot to be desired.
Every time I hear of budget deficits I think people like you and the rest of the 51% tyranny are going to reach into my pocket again.
Of course, this entire post comes from the Bobo the Hobo school of More Innerwebz/Less Effort School of Self Improvement.
People look away and whistle nervously when I say the 13th Amendment should be repealed.
This OP is why.
But let's delve deeper into her psyche, shall we?

10. What about the Alaskan flag in your avatar?

Just curious as to any parameters on your flag-saluting, or lack thereof. It was an unexpected avatar for an anti-flag rant.

55. the answer is in her profile ...
it's not about the flag. She like astronomy. Her choice of avatar, to me, indicates an interest in observational astronomy and identifying constellations.
That flag shows the constellation of the Big Dipper, and how the two bottom stars in the picture point to the north star, Polaris.

63. shireen-you are absolutely correct
I've had a life long love of astronomy, since 11 yrs of age. I've ground an 8 inch reflector in my 30's. Astronomy means to me the alpha and the omega. Also the infinite intellegence of Jehovah and the unlimited beauty of the universe. The particle physics of the universe is a book of untold principles upon which to base inventions. You "hit the nail on the head" so to speak.
CONCLUSION: She likes fixed, fated answers to life given to her. No morality or self-determination or--Heavens forbid--personal responsibility.
