To the Person I Gave the Finger To Today ---
   
Yes, I saw your bumper-sticker, and yes, I honked to get your attention to make sure you saw my open-the-window-stick-my-hand-out gesture of disrespect. The fact I was driving my mother back from an appointment (she's been sick) didn't stop me from a completely uncharacteristic (my first????) expression of contempt, and its now been nearly 14 hours later, and if I was a different person, I would be apologizing and regretting my actions.

I'm Not. You are a contemptible human being, and I'd do it again. I metaphorically spit in your general direction, you worthless piece of excrement.

Giving someone the finger is *NOT* bad-ass - but there was (and is) absolutely nothing else to say or do when someone decides to loudly proclaim I'm not an American (because I'm a Liberal).

Its a true story, and yes, its out of character. I was shocked at the bumper-sticker, and got pissy. My only other option was to ignore it. But this one seemed to be in the "shouldn't be ignored" category, hence my hand-gesture.

He insulted me. I insulted him back.

I still get mad thinking about it! Grrrr.... Asshole.

My mother is a nice woman. She understood. She was surprised, but she understood. That is not to say she approved. Sigh.

Aimed at Ida. It had its head in its ass.

Her conduct was not reasonable.

If you want to fantasize that some day someone will give him "a whole lot more than non-verbal expression of contempt," you might want to rethink your attitude. Or do you think you're mean enough to confront random strangers over their bumper stickers?

The appropriate response to someone acting in a juvenile fashion is to suggest that adults don't go around shooting people the finger in traffic, simply because a bumper sticker makes them pissy

Considering liberal cars are usually rusted out POS's COVERED with asinine bumper stickers:  Respect Your Mother. (with a pic of the earth), I'm too proud to vote Republican, (I'm too intelligent to vote Democrat), Gore 2004, (seen on a rusted out POS Dodge Diplomat driven by a bespeckled, gray haired, ponytailed, sport-coat wearing, professor-looking type in 2001), etc., you would have to tailgate them for miles to read half of them, and restrain from running them in the ditch for the next 10 miles while they drive 5 under the speed limit in the fast lane....

Real people only put 1 or 2 on their vehicles.  We don't need the whole damned trunk to express our thoughts, because we actually have ideas....

I have one on my truck:  "He Who Dies With The Most Toys, STILL DIES!", and yesterday I saw one that said:
"Yes-Coal"
"No-Bama"

For DUmbass IdaBriggs to have such a reaction, the sticker must have been too close to the truth for he/she/its comfort.  
I would have done the same thing I always do when some a**hole give me :bigbird:
I blow them a kiss!   :blowkiss:

That's when the smoke comes out of their ears!   :rotf:

I have  "Palin for President" bumper sticker on the back of my truck. Yesterday, while stopped at a red light, A guy in next lane blew his horn and motioned for me to roll down the window. He said he liked the sticker. I said thanks. We went out separate ways when the light changed.

And the only thing that Ida succeeded in was to confirm the other driver's belief (assuming he understood what the bird was for, he might have thought he just made a traffic error) that "yes, liberals are certainly assholes, aren't they?" 
Therefore, her bouncy did not include a conversion and so points off. 

She didn't get quite the reception she was hoping for at the DUmp, did she?

Once upon a time, about three-four years ago, I was going up I-87, just north of the Twin Bridges over the Mohawk River.  There was an old Dodge Aries in front of me, doing about 55 mph in the left lane.  A guy in maybe his late 50s to early 60s was in the driver's seat, with long hair.  I went by him as if he was standing still (about 70 mph at the time).  As I pulled in front of him, he flipped me the bird.  Now, there was no reason for him to do this.  I hadn't done anything warranting this reaction.  So, I took my foot off the accelerator in an attempt to slow down so I could draw alongside.  He slows down.  I pulled out of the left lane, and he didn't speed up.  So, I continued along at his rate of speed, and my exit was coming up, so I got off the road.  As I was in the exit lane, I saw this guy go by as someone also passed him.  He flipped that driver off, too. 

I've often wondered what his DU name was.  This inDUHvidual just seemed to be full of piss and vinegar.

I had something similar happen to me at a traffic light.  I was in the left lane, to go straight, and this car pulls along side me on the right, and LAYS ON THE HORN!  I ignore her for several seconds, then look around like I just noticed the noise, before I look her way.  She vehemently flips me the bird, to which I wink and blow her a kiss.  You could actually see smoke coming from her ears!  SHE WAS SMOKING MAD! 

Light turns green, and I lay on the throttle of my diesel pickup, totally enveloping her car in black smoke!  I love my "oil burner"....

I swear I saw the same guy in MI. After I passed him and got the bird, he did it to the next driver.

True.  At the time, I figured that McCain would pick KBH out of Texas.  A safe pick.  But, he catapulted Sarah Palin onto the scene.  The one thing I give him credit for.  I don't think she'll ever be the President of this country; she'll support someone who will be the President--a "kingmaker," if you will.

I've often wondered what his DU name was.  This inDUHvidual just seemed to be full of piss and vinegar.

Ya want to really get under their skin, pull in behind them and pick up your cell phone, put it to your ear and make believe you talkin' to the cops on the other end. Make gestures like shakin' your head yes, peer over your hood as if reading their license plate, etc.

I've done this many times and even followed asshats off the freeway. One guy sped up so much to get away from me, a cop pulled him over for speeding! I drove by and waved at the guy. I could see him pointing at my truck, as I drove off, in my rear view mirror! I'm pretty sure the cop could tell I was laughing my ass off!

I think she has a better record of backing winners in the primaries than Lord Zero does so far.

Exactly.  I see where God must have it in His plan to thrust Gov. Jindal into the national spotlight.  Jindal's tackling the problem, not being all metrosexual about it.
