"zot" is the term used for banning someone over at FreeRepublic.  I think a zot is usually preceded by pictures of viking kitties and some other post-whoring, but I may be wrong.  I don't linger there much (I'm only there for the headlines and ping lists).

I believe that "ZOT!" was something bad that would happen to a character in The Wizard of Id comic strip.

DD, what does that mean?  I know a blogger who goes by the name of Viking the Kitten, or V the K.  Also, what does sniffing ozone mean?

"Zot", "ozone", and "viking kitties" are all terms used on Free Republic....

This is a "zot":

"Zot" is what happens to trolls that post their stupid, inane, moronic, and typically liberal rantings and articles on Free Republic, and are terminated by a moderator.  The result of a "zot" is usually "ozone", hence, "I smell ozone"....

These are "Viking kitties":

They get to clean up what's left of trolls after a "zot", or, sometimes, the moderators let us play with the troll, and the kitties get their turn to play as well....

This happens if the troll is particularly stupid, we send in the kitties, THEN "zot".  Extraordinary stupidity should be painful, and we make it as painful as possible....

And when we have a guy who claims to be conservative, is in single digits on posts, and calls Reagan a "bad actor" and hated his politics, well...

Reagan was a man, a mortal man. He was fired in the trials and tribulations of his generation  and had the moral courage to do what was right. Ask the late Jane Wyman. whom Reagan was married to. His principled stand as president of the Screen Actors Guild cost him his marriage to Jane as well as any future movie career. Granted his career was on the downside by the time he was president of the SAG.
How many people would continue in a position after numerous death threats? Reagan did, and Jane said
bye.

Reagan was the best prepared person to be elected to the Office of the President of the United States.
his position as president of SAG, a paid spokesman for GE for close to a decade, his personal involvement in the Conservative movement, and Governor of the largest state in the Union for two terms, steeled Reagan for what he had to do as President.

Reagan is not loved because he is divine as the DUmmies would want to present. No, Reagan is beloved
because he was consistent in his beliefs of Americans and all people of the world are better off with out
the heavy handedness of Government intruding into the lives of free people. He is the champion of freedom and liberty still today. Listen to his speeches, even today they ring true and honest.

Reagan did a LOT of good for the military but I don't like a couple of things that he did; 1.) Granted amnesty to some three or six MILLION illegal aliens, establishing a precedent that will be difficult to overcome and 2.) He signed the 1986 gun control act into law. Those two things make me angry as hell towards the Reagan regime. Also, "Reaganomics" did a whole lot of good for the country, almost all the way THROUGH Clinton.

I think we can safely blame the '96 GCA on Reagans years in California exposed to the constant anti-gun environment there.
