Hard core liberalism (socialist/communist) can only make sense in a mind that has not matured past the single digit or perhaps low teen level.

That emotional maturity also only knows to lash out in anger and hatred for anything that proves what it wants to believe wrong.

I never understood why some were so angry that they felt the need to let it carry over into PMs. I only had a couple of those in my times at DU, but it always made me laugh that they couldn't let something go.

Someone mentioned in another thread that they're not liberals they're leftists, and that's what I'm going to call them from now on, liberals stood for free speech at 1 time, the leftists and progressives of today only stand for speech they agree with. To feel the need to send someone a vulgar PM because you disagree with them? it's insane. I'm not hurt LOL, I have thick skin, I find it amazing and amusing at the same time.

It started with Reagan when they suddenly saw and knew that their political views were being rejected.
Nixon they hated no doubt but Watergate was a "win" so they kind of morphed it into a belief that the country still was leftist (Nixon was not a social conservative so perhaps a bit justified).
President Reagan threw that decades old belief into a trash pile and they have been hysterically fighting it ever since with the Robert Bork SCOTUS nomination being the first place to openly rear its ugly and hate filled head.

Kind of like Carter post-Presidency and not having class to not criticize those who followed him in office, Clinton is that way too, and we see Obama thinking nothing of using the obscene term to describe Americans who are fed-up. Laura Bush was on Sean's radio show and she said she and President Bush refuse to bash the current President. A part of me likes that people have that class, but then a part of me gets tired of being part of the party of class.
