An argument that started over a derogatory statement about President Barack Obama written on the back window of a car resulted in the arrest of two people Friday night, a Gainesville police report state.

Angela Denice Hollie, 21, of 1604 S.W. 40th Terrace, Apt. C, was charged with aggravated assault for attacking Paul C. Black, 45, of 110 N.E. 39th Ave., Apt. 161, with a knife, according to an arrest report.

Black, an employee of The Gainesville Sun, was charged with child abuse and simple battery, his arrest report stated.

The incident started about 8:20 p.m. in the parking lot of Hollie's apartment complex when Black and another woman had a heated argument over the Obama statement on Black's car window, according to the report.

The report stated that Black hit the woman's legs with his car door and twice punched her in the face.

A 14-year-old nephew of the woman tried to stop Black and was hit in the face by Black, the report stated.

Hollie then came out of her apartment with a knife and repeatedly threatened Black with it, police allege. A crowd began gathering and two witnesses described the knife as a large kitchen knife.

The arrest report for Hollie states that she learned police were coming to the scene and hid the knife. It adds that she later admitted to threatening Black with a knife but described it as a butter knife.

Black told police he pushed the woman but only in self-defense, his arrest report states. It adds that he first said he may have hit her with the car door and then later denied it.

The report also states that Black told police he pushed the boy on the shoulders.

Dear Mister Black,

Laugh in her face, then walk away.  Keep your powder dry.

And as for Ms. Hollie, altogether now:

"WHAT'S HER DU NAME???"

Probably the same thing I have on my car about I'll keep my guns, religion, freedom, and money--you can keep the "change"...

What a heathen looking thing.

I have a "Palin for President" sticker on my truck. :innocent:
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.
