Teacher Deems American Flag ‘Offensive’

The battle over the American flag has reached a middle school art class in California’s Santa Rita School District where a student was told not to draw Old Glory because it was “offensive,” but another student — in the same class – was praised for drawing a picture of President Obama.

Tracy Hathaway, of Salinas, CA, told FOX News Radio her 13-year-old daughter was ordered to stop drawing the American flag by an art teacher at Gavilan View Middle School.

“She had drawn the flag and was sketching the letters, ‘God bless America,’ when the teacher confronted her,” Hathaway told FOX. “She said, ‘You can’t draw that – that’s offensive.’”

Even more striking, another student in the same art class drew a picture of President Obama and was praised by the teacher.

“The picture of Barack Obama was in red, white and blue hues,” Hathaway said. “The teacher said it was great. But when it comes to the flag – all of a sudden it was offensive?”

Is the teacher of Hispanic descent. Obviously if Arizona's new law taught us anything it taught us if Hispanics are involved it's racist.

The pants on the ground has to be the most pathetic fad I've seen...and I grew up in the 80's.
The funny thing is that most of these teeny boppers don't know where the fad came from.  Most of them don't know that it came from prison.  The "bitch" who showed their asscrack in prison was someone's "bitch".

I find that teacher very offensive.

This is so close to home it hurts.

Almost 50 years ago my kindergarten teacher put in an emergency call for my Mom to come to the school right away.

 It was in December and the school was getting ready for Xmas.   We little ones had been given a picture of Santa and asked to color with crayons so the pictures could be posted about the school.

My picture really rattled the teacher as I had colored Santa in a GREEN Suit not RED.  WHY, who knows but  perhaps I wanted my Santa to stand out from all the others.

The poor teacher told Mom that I needed to conform to society.  Mom told her that since there was no real Santa, she had no problem with a Green Santa or any other color.

Kids believe in Santa and that he wears a red suit was all that teacher could say to Mom, and even if Santa was just a made up story, kids should respect the tradition.

Today we know that the Santa image came from an advertisement for Coke from the 30's

My first but not last run in with the conform and ask no questions people in authority.  A year down the road we kids would know we had been lied to by the people we trusted the most.

The tooth fairy was another interesting one.

  I made sure I never said a word about Santa to my kids, they came to know the department store Santa's on their own, TV, music and movies.  We hung their stockings from the mantle but never said why, we allowed them to make their own conclusions so when they did find out that there is no Santa, the smart ones would not feel that we, their parents had lied to them.

Life has not changed much for school kids in 50 years, the teachers still walk the Conform and believe a lie, students  be talked into believing what ever they are told into their adult years.

There are many Mexicans in Texas, who have lived for generations, as long as Texas was around, going back to the 19th century. They are called Tejanos and are mostly common in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and East Texas.

I grew up on and off in San Antonio whenever Dad got reassigned to Lackland AFB.  I really don't remember all this La Raza shit from high school.  Mexican-American students were Americans first.
It's like we're going backwards as a nation in assimilating all these ethnic groups.  I blame the Democrat/liberal vote hustlers for fostering the sense of victimhood in the various "minority" groups.  And I'm deeply offended.  As a left hander, where is MY special protected status?
