Edited on Fri May-07-10 03:10 PM by Cheap_TrickI live on a cul-de-sac, and at election time I could tell by the number of mccain/palin signs that I was the only Democrat on the street. The morning after the election, my Obama yard sign was gone but my Slattery sign was still there. Sore ****ing losers! Our mailboxes are on the corner. On Wednesday, I stopped on the way home to get the mail. There was a car already stopped there, the passenger was getting their mail. The woman was probably in her late 70's at least. I then noticed in the back window of the car was an "Obama '08" bumper sticker. I said to her "Love your sticker." She said, "Oh thank you. I'm so proud I voted for him. We have a picture of him in our living room." And I told her, "Thank YOU. I thought I was the only Democrat on the block. Nice to know there's another. I think we're the only ones." She just kind of rolled her eyes and said "I know."Nice to know I'm not alone in enemy territory.edit spellingRefresh | +3 Recommendations Printer Friendly | Permalink | Reply | Top

You're lucky you only got your sign ripped off: My neighbor got in my face and called me a "*******ed liberal." I thought he was going to blow a gasket.

I asked a person at the grocery store about here Obama/Biden sticker I think she thought I was gonna go hopey/dopey on her. The look of relief on her face when I said I was still counting on him to try to change years of clusterfarks brought a smile to me. She didn't hang out to discuss, so I gave her a thumbs up and a keep the faith comment. Printer Friendly | Permalink | Reply | Top

NO kidding, that's creepy. But I doubt it's true. Who does that anymore? Maybe some moonbats had FDR in their homes. What a dumb story, I hope they all feel more and more marginalized. My town had ZERO Obama signs. I was lookin'.
That is pretty creepy. I wonder if the eyes follow you like a teleprompter when you walk across the room.
"Oh thank you. I'm so proud I voted for him. We have a picture of him in our living room."
I often see posters in the apartments I work at of Big Brother and it creeps me out. I have never seen posters with a POTUS hanging up all over the place before.
Which I hung on the wall and left there in our living room because EVERY single time my moonbat MIL or BIL's would visit you could literally hear their teeth grinding.
Down toward Burlington, I used to see a lot of dinner-plate sized Obama/Biden stickers on the backs of Priuses driven by grey haired moonbat types. But lately I have noticed a lack of such stickers. I think they are afraid of getting teabagged in traffic.
We donated to Bush and after the invasion or Iraq when the press was at its most despicable, my wife and I wrote a letter of support and mailed it to the White House. We recieved White House Christmas cards every year until they left office and shortly after we mailed the letter we got an 8x10 signed photo of George and Laura on the front porch of the ranch.
I still see a fair number of Obama stickers in Albany. A tad fewer than in the past, though.
