I've been reading a lot of posts here tonight.

Posts where US Navy Seals, protecting our country from terrorists, were hauled before a Court-Martial because they allegedly bloodied the nose of a terrorist that killed, burned and hung the bodies of Americans from an Iraqi  bridge.

Posts where students were expelled from our schools for wearing clothing that depicted the American flag, and refused to relinquish those garments because the school system wanted them instead to promote the flag of Mexico.

Posts where prayer is being ridiculed, where we cannot have a National Day of Prayer.  Because prayer offends...

I don't know, y'all.    Things look pretty bleak if you are an American.

A socialist, American-hating, anarchist, devil-worshiping, illegal immigrant, terrorist?  We don't want to offend you.  Please f**k with us.  America seems to not want to offend you in any way.

Real Americans? Tax payers?  The people that actually contribute to society?  F**k you.  You suck.  Racists.  You want your country to be your country?  Who the f**k  are you?

I don't know.  If I were a child growing up in America today?  I would be really confused about all of this.

It wasn't that way when I grew up.  I was real clear about the right and wrong of this.  Maybe I am just too old.

To me?  This is so wrong.

Is there a "America" today?

I'm sorry.

I just reread my post for maybe the 100th  time tonight.

Please ignore me.  I am just PISSED! tonight.

Maybe little events do not crush a country as great as ours.  These things I am sure have been happening since the beginning of our great country.  Before they had the internet and all of the crap that brings to our lives.

Maybe I should be proud that the Navy Seals stood up to their "PC" commanders and had the courage to demand a court-martial for what they knew was right.  Maybe that bunch of young people in California were braver than me and had the courage to stand up and say "no" to those that would oppress them and our flag.

Maybe things are better than I see them.

Maybe the courageous are standing up.

I just have to see it...

Good girls are bad girls that never get caught.

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it, misdiagnosing it and then misapplying the wrong remedies.

Can't speak for other peoples kids but my 14 year old boy is sure leaning right. He loves the USA, the military, etc.. The more touchy-feely, leftist leaning the school gets, the more he digs in his feet against the 'liberal establishment'. The more the system bends over to kiss black/brown behind the more racist he gets....I think the left doesn't realize what their agenda is really doing to some kids. ...or maybe that's there plan, forment unrest between the haves-havenots white/brown/black until all hell breaks loose and they get to have their revolution.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

  • Hi, I'm Sue!
Our 14 yr old boy goes with us to Tea Party rallies and wears his Reagan shirt to school to annoy his teachers  :evillaugh:! He's also a big Beck fan so we bought him (and ourselves) tickets to the Common Sense show last year when it was simulcast in movie theaters around the country.

I was a kid during the Vietnam War and was 12 when Saigon fell.  I remember how worried my parents were when Carter was elected in 76, but being a teenager, I was more worried that disco was never going to go away than Carter.  When Reagan won the election in 80, though, it was like a breath of fresh air swept us all and we all woke up from a really bad dream.  I'm hoping and praying 2012 will be similar . . .

"We will preserve for our children (America), the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done."  -- Ronald Reagan.

"Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you." -- Quest for the Holy Grail
