Oh my.

Just a reminder to the primitives that franksolich is still watching them, out of anthropological curiosity.

Being "temporarily involuntarily inactive" is not the same thing as being "gone."

Anyway.

This campfire's really big, and one has to scroll about two miles down the page; it's about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, with the primitives predicting all sorts of apocalyptic endings, even including quoting from the Bible, not the primitives' usual sort of reference book.

And then Mr. Stupid has this to say:

161. What about what is happening under the earth's crust?

Do we have any clue what happens to the planet itself when this massive amount of pressure (not the mention the volume of oil) is removed from beneath the surface? The ramifications of this are mind-boggling.

For Pedro Picasso, remember that the simple concept of "supply and demand" is mind-boggling, much less that 1 + 1 = 2 or that one gets wet walking in rain without an umbrella.
apres moi, le deluge

Hey stupid, the oil is more than likely in a void between sedimentary rock! Any pressure is due to eons of layering from above. It has no effect on the earth's happy place!

You sir, are a frikkin' idiot! Maybe ya ought to watch "Modern Marvels" once in a while!

Frikkin' moron! Good grief, and these people are the smartest in the room! What room? Romper Room?
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!
