The media is calling him a white guy in his 40's and a very grainy video is released that does not support this very well.

Dummies all over, including the media, are praying to Satan that it was a conservative.

interesting. I'm a layman in these matters and it didn't sound sophisticated at all to me. I know I'm wrong though...

Doesn't have to be sophisticated to work.

Been watching CNN again, have ya?  BTW--go up to Prince Edward Sound and tell me how horrible it is these days.  You'd be amazed how resilient nature can be, unless you drop radioactive material on it, and even then...

The "white" man angle has been blown all to heck. lol.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31727_162-20004018-10391695.html

Sources tell CBS News the last registered owner of the 1993 Nissan Pathfinder - found in Times Square Saturday night - told authorities he recently sold the vehicle to a "Middle Eastern" or "Hispanic" looking man for $1,300 cash in $100 bills on Craigslist.

Authorities interviewed the Pathfinder's registered owner Sunday night, but say he is not a suspect in the case.

The vehicle identification number on the Pathfinder had been removed from the dashboard, but it was stamped on the engine and axle. Its license plates came from a car found in a Connecticut repair shop.

In addition to this lead, police are also trying to track down a man seen on a surveillance tape released by NYPD earlier this morning, which shows a man in his 40s in Shubert Alley near Times Square removing a dark colored shirt to reveal a red shirt underneath and looking around "furtively."

Authorities are also reviewing a tape, yet to be released, shot by a Pennsylvania tourist who was filming the mounted police officer, Wayne Rhatigan, who initially responded to the suspicious vehicle.

Anyone that can't see some other ethnicity in that video has issues.  It could be a white man, but I doubt it.

Been watching CNN again, have ya?  BTW--go up to Prince Edward Sound and tell me how horrible it is these days.  You'd be amazed how resilient nature can be, unless you drop radioactive material on it, and even then...

It has been 20 years now, almost a generation and the Sound is in no way back to the way it was before.

As the oil spreads it will effect Centural America and move with the tides, wind and currents South into South America.

No way around it, the oil will get into the Atlantic and move up the coast.  This is Hurricane Season, to add a kicker to the mix.

The scientists and engineers that are desperate to find a way to stop the oil have some ideas on how to do so but, none of their ideas have been tested before at 5,000 feet. I would imagine the pounds per square inch at that depth would implode most submarines.  It is not surprising the pipe lines ruptured after a few years under those conditions.

Another problem is that as the earths crust keeps moving and releasing methane from the bottom, pockets, big ones of methane may build up, The Atlantic could become a huge blow torch under the right conditions.

We well may see the distruction of intire species as the oil washes up on the rivers and Bayou's of the Gulf, sooner or later it will get into fresh water and kill off plant life.

This will put any natural disaster the world has seen to shame. Even if we stop the spill next week, we face an enormous crises ahead.  There are so many unexpected and out of the blue things that can make it even worse.

Dear Vesta,

You're fuller of shit than a Christmas turkey.  Post proof or retract.  FWIW, I have been in that area within the last 5 years.  Members of my family were fishing near there 10 years ago.

The other day they were showing pictures from Prince William Sound, and talking about the fact that there is almost no effects still visible.  Almost all of the animal life has returned.

Where are the tasty DUmmie tears!!

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/times-square-car-bomber-police-release-video-suspect/story?id=10534834

Federal authorities are closing in on the man they say is a person of interest in the Times Square car bomb attempt this weekend, who is described as a naturalized American citizen who hails from Pakistan and just returned after spending five months there.

Police release video of possible suspect seen near site of failed attack. There is growing evidence the bomber did not act alone and had ties to radical elements overseas, with one senior official telling ABC News there are several individuals believed to be connected with the bombing and that at least one of them is a Pakistani-American.

Attorney General Eric Holder said today the investigators had made "substantial progress" in tracking the man who drove a Nissan Pathfinder into New York's Times Square with a crude bomb that failed to detonate.

Officials declined to provide the specifics that led them to believe there were overseas links to a larger plot.

Authorities said another clue in the investigation is a video posted online early Sunday morning by persons in Connecticut, who may have been involved in the bomb attempt and are being sought by law enforcement. The video, posted on a site registered one day before the attack, has the Taliban in Pakistan claiming responsibility for the attempted bombing.

So Rush and talk radio inspired this...amazing. Who knew Rush was so popular in Pakistan? (Possibly Ali Limbali.)

Suspect arrested at JFK Airport attempting to fly to Dubai

NEW YORK - Authorities arrested U.S. citizen Faisal Shahzad in connection with the failed bombing attempt in New York's Times Square as he tried to leave the United States, Attorney General Eric Holder said on Tuesday.

Shahzad was arrested trying to board a flight to Dubai at New York's JFK airport, Holder said in an early morning press conference on Tuesday.

"It was clear that the intent behind this terrorist act was to kill Americans," he said.

Holder said the investigation was ongoing, and said that law enforcement officials had gathered "significant additional evidence." He urged Americans to remain vigilant.

Earlier, officials told The Associated Press that the potential suspect recently traveled to Pakistan, where he had a wife. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the case was at a sensitive stage.

He was being held in New York and couldn't be contacted. His U.S. hometown wasn't disclosed.
