Oooops...I made a mistake. Sorry. This was the END-OF-THE-GALAXY switch; the end-of-the-world switch is in the shop. This switch rips the event horizon off of the central black hole (Sag-A) of the Milky Way galaxy (our galaxy), using a device which, for lack of a better name, is called "creator-of-disorder-in-aligned-systems". So, uh, the shock waves and radiation blast from the core explosion you've triggered won't reach us for approximately 30,000 years. So that should be some comfort, although, the, um, scale of destruction is somewhat larger...

Did I say I was sorry? Oh, where can I hide my face...
