First day back...
« on: January 09, 2008, 04:09:38 PM »
Yeah, I know it's a Wednesday, but my college is strange.   :mental:

My first two classes are already shaping up to be pretty tough.

I think I have a feminazi teaching my Georgia history class (we will be discussing liberalism vs. conservatism later in the semester...  :o  I'll need help from the College Republicans to fight any kind of indoctrination that might occur).

My Literature class, on the other hand, seems extremely tough, but interesting. The professor is from Germany, fairly young, and has this accent that is a combination of German and British (spent a few years in Britain, obviously).   It's very... different, but it's nice.    :o

Tomorrow, Biology and Cultural Geography are on the schedule.

my head would be spinning! I always hated the first few weeks of class.

hang in there!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I cannot believe that a radiology major such as myself has to take such classes (english makes sense, but some of the others don't).

Keep at it, ACC. Mine started Monday and I already have stuff due tomorrow that I'm working on right now.

I've got some squishy conflict resolution class(maybe I can work my magic on some forums :lmao:), Corporate Finance, and a standard Business Grammar class. I think I have 5 more classes for this leg of schooling.  :cheersmate:

Are you settled in nicely?

I'm mostly settled in.  I was planning on putting Microsoft Office on my laptop , but the disc is missing.

I have a LOT of typing to do this semester, but still...  :bawl:

Oh, you should be able to detect the indoctrination when occurring, and when it does, stand up to it. I sure did  :-)

I would love it if a class got into liberalism vs. conservatism.

If your professor is a liberal, he will sugar coat socialism and make it all sound flowery. That's OK though, because he probably doesn't even know that it is socialism, or communism lite.

You will do just fine, I am sure.

My guess for why they make you take classes that has nothing to do with your major is to see how well you can stay focussed on the BS. It's just more information of which to be accountable for, I suppose.

You can do it  :cheerleader2:

If your feminazi professer starts in ACC, tell her that the book "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg is your current favorite book.  Or if you don't want to be obvious about it, just buy the book and carry it into her class for a couple of weeks.  Or better yet, buy it, read it first then leave it anonymously on her desk.   :-)

I brought an Ann Coulter book to school.  Would that be a bit much?   :rotf:

I'll definitely have to buy Goldberg's book, though.  Sounds like a good read. :)

Nothing says FU to a liberal like Ann Coulter. That's priceless.
