Wow, those poor 1% are paying 39% of the tax burden.
Really freeps? That's your argument. Pssst... they control 95% of the wealth. Get it? Do the Math, they control 95% of the money but only carry 40% of the tax burden. Yeah it's so unfair.

10. The link doesn't appear to support your post
The 90% of wealth figure looks like it applies to the top 20% - With the top 1% being closer to 35%.

3. If they get at least 39% of the income, what's the problem? nt

The problem is it's an idiotic, nonsensical way of determining taxation. Income tax is supposed to be tax on just that - income - not wealth, and taxes are supposed to be for the services government provides. It might make sense if they used 39% of those government services, but they don't. Otherwise, it's like saying they should pay more for a bag of groceries, or a set of tires, or tickets to a movie, than anyone else simply by virtue of their having more money.

If you DUmmy assholes were 1/10 as smart as you think you are the challenges of cancer, world hunger, and prying Michael Moore away from the potato bar at Sizzler would have been met long ago.

Perhaps the DUmmies could use this link:

http://www.taxfoundation.org/news/show/22652.html

Let's see, Top 1 percent made 21.2 percent of AGI income, but paid 39.4 percent of taxes.

Well how about Top 5 percent?  35.8 percent of income, paid 59.7 percent of taxes.

Ah, the Top 10 percent--that's the ticket!  Oops--46.4 percent of income, 70.3 percent of taxes.

Well, ****--guess that blows their theory out of the water.

Oh, but the rich are paying less because of those EEEEVIIILLLLL "Bush Tax Cuts!"

Nope.  Try again, brain-deads:

Oh, and before you start crying about how my data is from some "r-wing" site, the actual data is compiled from the IRS.

Walldude needs to stick to inserting "subliminal" messages in his clients' video presentations at conventions.  Relatively speaking, it's the only thing he seems to be good at.

(Realizing not everyone may be familiar with this story, see here, then here. That may have been the greatest, most hilarious smackdown of a DUmmy ever.)

Funniest part of the thread comes when a couple of "differently gifted" nitwits start talking about medical doctors:

11. Quite a few anti-union physicians got taken by the oligarchy too.
While once they were masters of their own medical practices, now they are voiceless and replaceable cogs in the Insurance-PharmCo money machine.
That's sort of a mind-boggling statement. Remember, this is coming from DUmbasses who buy into the jug-eared Kenyan's socialized medicine scheme.

Be sure to have something soft under your chin, because this tale by DUmmy Greyhound is a jawdropper:

13. I dropped out of med school for just that reason. In my work-study program
I got to work with a practitioner in the field and saw how much time he spent arguing with morons working for insurance companies. Arguing to get treatments authorized, arguing to get payment for authorized treatments, arguing to get the ****ing check mailed, and this is after his office manger had hit a brick wall. People wonder why they get so little time to talk to their doctors, it's because he spends 30, 40, 50 hours a week dealing with insurance companies. Dropped out, changed my major to CompSci, and then got ****ed by Clinton Inc.® after all that anyway.

Now lemme get this straight. DUmmy Greyhound was in medical school, on a work-study program, where he was something like a co-op doctor apprentice? And this doctor was spending 50 hours per week on the phone with insurance companies? So the DUmmy dropped out of "medical school"? And "changed my major" to computer science? Apparently this DUmbass thinks that when someone goes to college he can simply sign up to be a medicine major, just like being an English major.

I have a hunch that DUmmy Greyhound is currently wrapping up ninth grade.

Sorry for the hijack G.B., but I am leaning towards the Greyhound DUmmy "STRUGGLING" through the ninth grade.

Wait a minute, aren't doctors rich?   Why are we caring about them again?

What a crock of shet.  Every one of my doctors has an in-office Insurance Coordinator.  These folks are professionals.  They know what they are doing.  They also know a health insurance policy is a contract between the insurance carrier and the insured.  The contract is spelled out plainly and simply.  What's covered is covered and what isn't covered isn't covered.  It's not a bargaining situation.  It's either in the contract or it isn't.  PERIOD.

All the crappy paperwork that takes up so much of our valuable resources are GOVERNMENT BULLSHIT REQUIREMENTS and NOSY BUTTINSKY CRAP.

Yup. I have a sister in law who is a doctor and she says she rarely deals with insurance companies. Someone on her staff does all that stuff. This DUmmie is a LIAR!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

The whole "soak the rich" mentality of the left really fumes me. Most "rich" people got that way from hard work and sacrifice. For the gubbment to come in and take away their hard earned dollars at the highest rate possible is downright criminal. That's why I advocate an 8 or 10% flat tax across the board for all income from ditch digger to CEO. No deductions.  We all know that roughly 50% of Americans don't even pay taxes, while the other 50% to varying degrees pay the rest.
