RE: Teaparty movement
It will be impossible to work with the Tea Party groups. You might be angry at the Administration, but that movement is not one to follow or flirt with too much. The leaders of that group are just as interested as the leaders in the two parties to continue the hate and anger and lack of rational discourse that has gotten us to this point in American History.
ATJ, if you come back here, I just wanted to comment on this comment of yours. It's problematic to paint the tea party movement with a broad brush, like everyone else is doing. Everybody wants one pithy paragraph to encapsulate the whole thing. It can't be done, it's made up of individuals; hence, the homemade signs, not the factory-made ones.
P.S. I read the whole thread over there, and much was made about your first visit here, with "death threats" ensuing. Poor Nikki Stone is scared. Anyway, we may kill our dinner, and we may kill our enemy in a military situation or possible home invasion, but we don't go around killing or even getting into fistfights.
I'm one of them, and I couldn't really name a "leader." It's all local, anyway. The St. Louis tea party is huge, but I don't answer to anyone there, and they don't communicate with me.
The DUmmies were/are forever asking "what do these douchebags want, anyway?" It's simple, all you have to do is read the signs.
