Glenn Beck 4-5-10
« on: April 05, 2010, 05:06:25 PM »
Anybody watch GB today? He went on and on about his advertising boycott. He let on like it's causing a drain on Fox's bottom line.

Anybody know if his show is in trouble?

I'm glad Glenn has his show, but I don't plan my afternoon around it.  I may catch it once a week.

I think instead of complaining, FOX News channel and Glenn should embrace the boycott.  It can be worth a ton of publicity.  Maybe offer free advertising.  I'm sure some stockholders would love to know their corporation turned down free ads on one of cable TV's most watched programs because of some socialist ideology in the boardroom.

I don't watch it every day but I don't want him canceled. He does things to moonbats that I could only dream about.

Beck's ratings skyrocket:

I think the boycott gives him publicity, but not in the way the little misfits intended.  :-)

Regardless of high ratings, ad money makes the show go on. It's gotta hurt.

Anyone have a list of companies that pulled their ads.  I will make it a point to not buy from them any more.

What do you expect?  Steve Jobs & Co. are marxist, burkenstock wearing, goose-stepping morons.  Of course they'd idolize the murderer Che.

I even bet Steve Jobs had a DUmp callsign.  (Still debating whether he's really Greenbriar, though.)  :-)

I don't recall companies boycotting Olbermann when he spewed those hateful insults against tea-partiers, or Anderson  Pretty Boy Cooper when he constantly likened the tea party movement to the homosexual act.

If anyone can paste the list of companies that boycotted here, I'd like to boycott them as well.  The link a few posts up will not load for some reason...

I watched it today but I didn't think the ad boycott was a huge part of his show but maybe I wasn't paying attention.  I thought it was more about the "Fairness Doctrine" and how they are trying to stop descent.  He connected the dots on who is behind it and how it goes back to Obama.  From Andy Stern (SEIU), Van Jones, George Soros to Obama's advisor (as well as his spiritual advisor) Reverend Jim Wallis.  He questioned how all these people who surrounds/surrounded Obama could be behind it and Obama not be aware of what they are doing.

I do think he is letting the attacks against him get to him more but I do think it all ties into how the left are trying to shut descent down.

You're correct. It wasn't a large segment. The fact that it was addressed at all was the alarming part.

Glen Beck averaged 2.2 million viewers per day last summer.  He is now over 3 million -- which is O'Reilly's numbers, and O'Reilly is on in prime time.   He is a ratings cash cow for Fox News, and while these sponsors will not allow their ads to run during Beck's show (their loss), they have not pulled out of Fox, so Fox is raking in plenty to keep his show on the air.

All they ever say about Glenn is that he "spews hate". They can never point out where he's incorrect though. He mostly just quotes the rantings of moonbat leftists. Then they get all pissed for being outed as moonbat leftists.

Hey, there's an idea--next time some liberal trots out the "spews hate" meme, just tell them that all he's doing is repeating what liberals have said for decades.

Then watch their heads explode.

These companies are on Fox all day long, and when I'm up working most of the night, they are on then too.

Fox News is one of the most watched channels on TV. These companies have done nothing but ask that their commercials not run during the GB show, so that they can appease the liberals and say righteously say that our coumpany isn't advertising on the GB show.

These companies are not about to give up this huge amount of captive viewers to pull their advertising completely off the Fox News channel.

As long as FNC gets the advertising dollars, one way or the other, they aren't going to care if no one advertises during the GB hour or not. They aren't going to risk losing any of those 3 million viewers....who watch many other shows at other times on FNC, who watch the GB hour, by pissing them off by cancelling the GB show.  (very convoluted I know, but hope it makes sense)

You know, I have been wondering about Glen for the last month or so.  This man is like Superman, he has his hour show but shows up at odd hours on other talk shows.

Does this man get any sleep, how does he function on the schedule he keeps, will he burn out
and just fall over from exhaustion.?

This man has a PASSION for his work along the lines I have never seen before.

So who is behind him, who are his associates that are brilliant in planing his shows.?

One person cannot do this alone, it appears he has a better staff then Obama, so far no mistakes.

I watch  his show when I can, but, I worry about just how long this one man can keep up the stress.
