Rep. Hank Johnson: Guam could 'tip over and capsize'

Quote

Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) is afraid that the U.S. Territory of Guam is going to "tip over and capsize" due to overpopulation.

Johnson expressed his worries during a House Armed Services Committee hearing on the defense budget Friday.

This is the same district that Cynthia McKinney used to represent. You know. The edumacated twit who thinks we planted a U.S. flag on Mars.

I'm dead serious.

Actually, it was Sheila Jackson-Lee who thought we've been to Mars.

And I was stationed in Guam for two years, did many Westpacs there.  Tip over?  Not likely.  Blow away?  If that was gonna happen, it would have already.

Even if Rep. Johnson "corrected" his statement to reflect that he was concerned a FIVE PERCENT increase in population would "harm" the ecosystem, he should consider the "harm" that's done by all the Japanese tourists who visit there every year.

Maybe the Navy could tow it to shallower water.

Well, it IS her old district.  BTW, that stretch of highway is still called the Cynthia McKinney Parkway, isn't it?

Oh, and Happy Fun Ball...Guam is many things, but not a giant turtle.  Giant TURD, maybe.

Then again, having been there, I wouldn't shed too many tears if Guam just capsized and sunk like a giant turd.

And Woodhick--banking?  No.  Try again.  The top two cash cows for Guam are tourism and the military.  Take away either one of those and the island dries up and blows away, with the remaining residents turning back into loincloth wearing fishermen.

Headquartered?  No, try again.  I LIVED there for two years.  Did upkeep ports/tiger teams on FIVE Westpacs.  Just because there's a JP branch, BofA branch, Bank of Hawaii branch, and NFCU branch, doesn't mean there are more "banks than anything".  About zip-point-shit of the economy is based on banking there.  Take a little drive down Tumon Bay and you'll know what I mean.

I'll let you know right now, Wood--you know not of what you speak.  Banking industry in Guam?  You're fuller of shit than a Christmas goose.  In the Guam economy, tourism is number one, the military is number two.

Do people feel sorry for you for being such a douchebag, Wooddick?

ETA:  Show me a bank, with the possible exception of Bank of Guam, which is headquartered there.  Just out of curiosity, since you seem to know more about Guam than everyone here, why would more banks be headquartered there?  Or, is the more likely scenario that you just got caught talking out your ass and now you're in a corner because you can't back your shit up?

Let's try some of the more popular banks...

B of A?  Nope--Charlotte.
Wachovia?  Nope--Charlotte again.
Citigroup?  Damn.  NYC.
JP Morgan?  NYC too.
Wells Fargo?  Sorry, San Francisco.

Oh, you must mean all those little credit cards and stuff, right?  Nope--Delaware and South Dakota, predominantly.

That's okay, keep trying, scooter.  Seriously, if you're gonna accuse me of "arguing like a liberal", you best come armed with FACTS, otherwise you're the one looking like the liberal, all blather and puffing up of your chest.

Come correct, or have your head handed to you.  That's how I roll.

I now believe you to be exactly like a liberal. You attack the messenger instead of the message. Yep just like a immature true liberal. Name calling is one of a liberals tactics when they don't like what is being said. Look into the mirror and take a damn good hard look.
YOU deserve an ignore and that is what you will get.

Dude--did I attack YOU to start?  No.  Only when you went to the "liberal" card did you raise my ire.

Get the panty wad out of your ass and answer my question.  And trust me, an ignore from an idiot is fine by me.  Not worth wasting my breath on ya'll.

Just admit you got caught trying to spew some bullshit and got called on it.  Nobody's perfect.
