Half a million people marched on Washington last week. They didn't get news coverage.
They did not riot.
They did not threaten Congress with guns, pitchforks or revolution.
They did not spit on members of congress or hurl bigoted abuse at them.
They did not declare hate for the President. They don't claim that he is an usurper. They hold respect for him and the position he occupies.
They love America.
They are the true patriots.
They are the people that clean up the shit in the bath rooms, clean the dishes in restaurants and change the dirty sheets at hotels. For that, they get mistreated, get no contract jobs, get no recourse from the Government, get no back up from the police if mugged or worse. They are not even included in the health care reforms just passed.
Despite all of that, they still love America.

2. Yeah, I also remember when a million people marched to try to stop the war.
Not one minute of coverage on any network or cable news program. Just a three-hour "Free Mumia" infomercial for A.N.S.W.E.R. via CSPAN. But a few thousand goobers gather in the desert and it's a week-long news story. Kinda makes you wonder -- realize -- whose side the media is on.
Anybody remember when this "million people march" was?

3. Don't know why I continue to pay for the shit.
Every excuse I think of is just an excuse. I must just have to admit, I like noise.

6. Liberals were protesting at town halls before the Tea Baggers
Go back to 2007 and 2008 and democratic members of congress had tons of protests from people wanting an end to the war in Iraq and an investigation in Bush/Cheney abuses. There should be tons of clips of this on youtube.
That was never reported in the news.
Doug's ex-wife has one of those youtube videos; the "impeach on the beach" nonsense.

9. Ditto!
Peaceful protest doesn't make good eye candy. Then again, candy is NOT good for you!
Good eye candy were those clips of protestors carrying signs encouraging soldiers to shoot their officers, demanding the assassination of George Bush, canonizing the butcher of Baghdad, &c., &c., &c.
