What is it about?

HS chemistry teacher who was told he has terminal cancer, becomes a meth cook, and eventually a drug kingpin in order to set his family up financially.  One of his former students is the primary dealer for his meth.

Short season 1, regular (13 episode) Season 2.  Season 3 just started...whoa.

This is gonna be a GOOD season.

ETA: Set in Albuquerque.

What is it about?

50ish high school chemistry teacher is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer.  So he decides to start manufacturing meth with a former student, in order to make enough money so that his wife & kids can survive without him.  Lots of interesting chaos ensues.

The main character is the father from "Malcolm in the Middle" and also played the dentist Tim Whatley on Seinfeld.

Yes -- great show!!  Glad to have it back again.  BTW, wasn't "V" supposed to start again in March?

They aired a recap on the 23rd, and the first new episode is April 6th.

Sounds like a real family values kind of show,

this season: pass out those pre-teen condoms!

It's a lot deeper than that.  It heavily examines the moral and ethical dilemnas of the character's lives.  Plus, it's damn entertaining.

BTW, last night's episode was one of the best of the entire series, IMHO.

That was funny.  That doll's eyeball that Walt kept from the plane crash...weird how it keeps showing up.

Or when the parents are vacating the house after having been conned into selling it for far less than it was worth, and along comes Jesse...

Loved seeing Jesse walk right by them to the front door and then close it behind him!

And things continue to get interesting.  I love how Walt is so protective of the "integrity of the chemistry".  You would think at this point that he would let Jesse assist him, given the somewhat surrogate father/son relationship that has developed.  Although it appears Jesse may have bigger worries in next week's episode.

I missed the entire series. :(

I'll probably buy it on DVD when it comes out later.

Seasons 1 & 2 are already out.  Don't know if AMC will re-run this season or you'll have to wait until Season 3 DVD's come out.

It's well worth it, Chris.

I received all three seasons for my birthday.  Again Chris, it is well worth it.  What an outstanding show...and an incredible Season 4 premiere last night.

Big fan here, and I stumbled on it by accident in the first season.  It is an amazing show, and continues to evolve in new and more interesting directions.
