so where in the constitution does it say America will have a capitalist economy?

I hear all the time that forcing people to buy health insurance isn't in the constitution.
Maybe so, but there is a whole lot that is not in the constitution, to wit our economic structure.
Or maybe I am wrong.
Is capitalism as our economic structure any place in the constitution? Constitution only. That is what is always cited by the GoOPers.

Hell you goons say abortion is right there in the constitution yet deny that the second amendment actually gives us as individuals the right to bear arms. So when you all talk about the constitution it is a foregone conclusion that you have no idea what you are talking about.

It may not be spelled out in the constitution which economic system we should have but, given the rights cited in the constitution for each of us, capitalism matches up pretty well.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Maybe? I'd say that's putting it mildly. Capitalism being our economic foundation is implicit, due to the freedoms cited; freedom of association, etc. Central planning, communism, intrudes on people's rights to do as they please. Communism is anti-freedom. Pretty obvious from history, but the dummies aren't very good students. They are dummies after all.

Conversely, where in the Constitution does it say we have to have a socialist, fascist, or communist economy?

Capitalism stems from freedom, freedom is/was (supposedly) guaranteed by the Constitution, but that was before liberal assholes used it for toilet paper....

In order for Socialism to exist, the State must be granted power. Capitalism comes from private effort. Therefore, it is encumbent upon the purveyors of Socialism to prove the government authority, not the private sector. Capitalism being part of the default mode for personal freedom.

The Fifth Amendment is generally considered by legal scholars to guarantee the freedom to contract, and is buttressed by the Fourteenth Amendment's protection of due process and equal protection for all.  Capitalism is implicit in the freedom to contract and to be secure from the depredations of a predatory government in one's own possessions.

This administration is making inroads to abrogating those rights.

Let's see... capitalism was the only system in existence when the Constitution was written. As wise as the founding fathers were, they could not have forseen the foolishness of communism, socialism, and DUmmyism.

Quote from: Samuel Adams
..."The utopian schemes of leveling [redistribution of wealth] and a community of goods [central ownership of the means of production and distribution], are as visionary and impractical as those which vest all property in the Crown. [These ideas] are arbitrary, despotic, and, in our government, unconstitutional.

The founders saw Socialism/Communism/Marxism/Fascism coming a mile away.

This one (third paragaph from the bottom) seems to function well enough.  I just keep my copy of The 5,000 Year Leap next to my computer for just such occasions.  The citation is quoted from The Life and Public Service of Samuel Adams by William V. Wells, vol 1, p. 154.

I found several other sources quoting that biography. (William V. Wells, The Life and Public Service of Samuel Adams, 3 vols. [Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1865, 1:154.)

Where in the constitution does it say that DUmmies are entitled to free ponies?

I am leaning more towards where in the Constitution does it specifically state that DUmmys are entitled to air.

I think Mercantilism and Feudalism were still around in some respects
