I'll be making banana muffins.  My kitchen/dining room lights will be on.  Living room lights and television.. ON.  And just to be a bitch, I'll turn all the bedroom and bathroom lights on too.  I'll be sure to be using my mixer at 8:30pm and I'll also turn my stereo on.

Send me a muffin, please?  Do you make them with or without walnuts?

Without walnuts.  I'm not a huge nut fan.  (You can keep the silly jokes... lol)

Used to work at a restaurant that served "candied pecans".  Basically, pecans tossed in Kayro and cooled in a refrigerator.  Good stuff and they would keep for months.  Great on salads.

Kitchen fan?  Check
Every single light in the house?  Check

It seems that this crap causes more damage than anything.  Power plants won't be shut down for just an hour, but some extras may be started up to prepare for the surge when the hour is over.  Guess which types of power plants are most reliable for surges. Coal and gas fired generators.  :evillaugh:

Not much different than burning a whale oil lantern, except the whale oil burns cleaner, and there is no shortage of hippies.

With the foodstamp program in high gear there's plenty of blubber on all the freeloading whales walking around.
