Dear Obama,
I love how you take off that jacket and roll up your sleeves, which I've no doubt you've done on advice of your political handlers, to appear more "folksy." Now how you manage to pull that off while at the same time jetting 12 hours on AF1 to your $4k per day Hawaiian Christmas spot, or your $20k per week summer vacation spot on Martha's Vineyard, along with the side trips to Amsterdam and elsewhere, while hosting innumerable cocktail parties and eating Waygu beef is beyond me.
Well, actually, it's not beyond me. Fact is, you're not pulling it off. People are finally seeing through the bullshit smokescreen, and they're not liking what they're seeing. You need to remember the old adage of, "Those whom the gods would destroy, they first make proud." And pride--more accurately, hubris, or arrogance--is something in which you'll never lack.
Yeah, you're the president. Yeah, there are certain perks that come with the job, and it is a stressful job. We get it. But we also expect a certain level of discourse from someone who has the job. There's a reason Reagan never took off his suit jacket while in the Oval Office. Seems that between the years 1981-89, whenever he wasn't in Santa Barbara, he was, well, PRESIDENTIAL. He never forgot he represented the PEOPLE of the United States. You apparently have yet to grasp this fact.
In short, Barack, grow up. We're tired of the schoolyard bully bullshit. Quit acting like you're still on the campaign trail. We get it. You won. Now start ACTING like it. Start LEADING. Start fixing problems, not blame. Because pretty soon, you and your party are going to face a mandate on your acts. Think of it as that first quarter report card. It's not going to be pretty, let me assure you. But a REAL leader, or someone with accountability, will learn from the drubbing that you're about to take, change your habits, and salvage something reasonable as a final "grade". Otherwise, you'll have a legacy, alright. Just not the one you were hoping for.
Sincerely,
The American Public
