Well, the fact remains that whether felons get to vote (or not) and when is up to the individual states. I was surprised to find out that no, not all states revoke voting rights forever--not even a majority of them:

Well, that is true and after some reflection, I do feel that in some cases after felons have paid their price to society, done their time, that can have some of those rights back. I am NEVER in favor of a convicted felon working for the taxpayer in a sensitive or law enforcement environment or being able to own a firearm. The reason for the firearm is the leftist shit that would unravel if the felon went wacko with the gun after the fact.
Voting?
Ok, if they are law abiding say at least five years after release, then we should let them vote again. It is just an honest part of making them feel they are an important part of a civil society.
