Overheard in the parking lot this morning as I dropped my youngest son off at school:
   
"That was socialism, and I refuse to live in a socialist country!" I smiled and politely inquired, "So, will you will be leaving or just killing yourself?"

The new 150% medicare tax (2.6% vs. 3.9%) on dividends, interest and rental income is going to be passed right on. In fact, I am sending letters out to my tenants (mostly young and Obama voters) that their rents are going up 5% due to the health care bill.  Bet I make a few conservatives out of these young people.

DUmmies ... you need to know something.  When I raise the rent on every piece of property I own by 4% (that's what your president is going to charge me and I won't pay it) anyway, when I raise those rents and my renters come in asking me why I raised their rent I'm going to tell them the truth. 

After I do that I'm going to see if I can get them registered to vote if they aren't already.

PS; if you think they'll move due to the increase ... ALL landlords are going to be raising rents due to the 4% increase in taxes on rental income.  This is just business, nothing more.  You have 'screwn' yourselves.
