Hi,

When the final tally came in, my wife looked at me with tears in her eyes and asked, "What are we going to do, we are seniors and they just took our health care away from us?" 

Actually even more important to me is the total betrayal I feel, the total helplessness, our government has totally betrayed the will of the American people.

In April we are going to Panama.  They have world class health care and we will do what we must to be sure we can have access to that.

In the meantime, the sick feeling in the pit of my stomach is likely to be there for quite some time.

I cannot express my feelings about Pelosi and Obama at this point.  What a pathetic bunch the democrats, cheering passage of a bill that they know is against the will of the American people.  The good news is there is no longer any bloom on the rose, they flat do not care and the public also realizes that as well.

I know a lot of people that are die hard Republicans like to give people like me a hard time.  Yet from where I sit I can honestly say that I am not surprised at what has taken place.  It makes me sick to watch the constitution burn on the House floor.  I got so sick I almost threw up, literally.  Anyone with any real understanding of what just happened would understand exactly what I am saying.

I served with the USMC.  I did not serve my country to watch this happen.  The Republicans will never succeed in repealing this bill.  It will be in effect until our economic demise finds us.  Those who understand the political and economic time lines will also understand exactly what I am speaking of.  This is too much money, power and control to give our government and any party that would surrender it, well it would take a full party of George Washingtons to do it and we do not have that any longer in our nation.  If tonight was not proof enough of that, I do not know what is.

We live under tyranny.  This is no longer the land of the free.  I mean that literally.  I have become convinced that a vote, a voice virtually means nothing in these times.  If our voices held any merit in the past, it ended today without a doubt.

So what will Americans do?  Nothing more than put the next party in power and watch as we continue to collapse into history as the greatest laughingstock of the world.

Indeed, and what scares me more than anything right now is what may be coming within the next two years.  I fear deep within my heart and soul the one thing that I prayed and still pray can be avoided, that it will once again come down to that Three Percenter just as it did many many years ago.

We must find a way, some way, anyway to take this back peacefully if we can.  Yet I question if it can happen.  People woke up too late to the reality of our situation.  Yet again I should not be surprised.  History proves this as well all to often as the course of events.  We cannot allow it to go any further at any cost.  IF WE CAN SURVIVE the economic implications, the states cannot lose their battle.

She was on Fox this morning saying what a wonderful thing this is for our country....particularly small business owners.

One of the Fox people said, yeah if it doesn't put them out of business, it will force them to reduce the number of employees.

More welfare crap in the guise of "Americans needing help" in the form of...kids staying on parents policies until the age of 26, not allowing insurers to consider pre-conditions, kick-backs (oops, rebates?) for lower income persons to buy private ins.....yada, yada.

All of those benefits start immediately and are designed to make the public happy with their new found "Healthcare/Insurance/Reform".  Mo' money, gimme mine bennies.

Sorry people, this appears to me to be a middle-class dependency ploy designed to fool the masses into joining this slide toward socialism and tyranny.

I see this as step back. America is devolving into Feudalism of the Middle Ages. The middle class is the serfdom and all is handed to them by the government/aristocrats. I think some people are genetically predisposed for it.
