Obama's ME Policy: Outright Genocide of Israel
« on: March 20, 2010, 05:54:15 PM »
Quote
On Friday, Obama ordered Secretary of State  Hillary Clinton  to present Netanyahu with a four-part ultimatum.

First, Israel must cancel the approval of the housing units in Ramat Shlomo.

Second, Israel must prohibit all construction for Jews in Jerusalem neighborhoods built since 1967.

Third, Israel must make a gesture to the Palestinians to show them we want peace. The US suggests releasing hundreds of Palestinian terrorists from Israeli prisons.

Fourth, Israel must agree to negotiate all substantive issues, including the partition of Jerusalem (including the Jewish neighborhoods constructed since 1967 that are now home to more than a half million Israelis) and the immigration of millions of hostile foreign Arabs to Israel under the rubric of the so-called “right of return,” in the course of indirect, Obama administration-mediated negotiations with the Palestinians. To date, Israel has maintained that substantive discussions can only be conducted in direct negotiations between Israeli and Palestinian officials.

If Israel does not accept all four US demands, then the Obama administration will boycott Netanyahu and his senior ministers. In the first instance, this means that if Netanyahu comes to Washington next week for the AIPAC conference, no senior administration official will meet with him.

Obama’s ultimatum makes clear that mediating peace between Israel and the Palestinians is not a goal he is interested in achieving.

Obama’s new demands follow the months of American pressure that eventually coerced Netanyahu into announcing both his support for a Palestinian state and a 10-month ban on Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria. No previous Israeli government had ever been asked to make the latter concession.

Netanyahu was led to believe that in return for these concessions Obama would begin behaving like the credible mediator his predecessors were. But instead of acting like his predecessors, Obama has behaved like the Palestinians. Rather than reward Netanyahu for taking a risk for peace, Obama has, in the model of Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas, pocketed Netanyahu’s concessions and escalated his demands. This is not the behavior of a mediator. This is the behavior of an adversary.

With the US president treating Israel like an enemy, the Palestinians have no reason to agree to sit down and negotiate. Indeed, they have no choice but to declare war.

And so, in the wake of Obama’s onslaught on Israel’s right to Jerusalem, Palestinian incitement against Israel and Jews has risen to levels not seen since the outbreak of the last terror war in September 2000. And just as night follows day, that incitement has led to violence. This week’s Arab riots from Jerusalem to Jaffa, and the renewed rocket offensive from Gaza are directly related to Obama’s malicious attacks on Israel.

Not mine either........however Israel can take care of herself, particularly when it comes to the "Palestinians", and Obama backing the Israelis into a corner is not going to result in a pretty scene.....

Regardless of what anyone thinks, I have lived in the Middle East, in an Arab country, and spent a lot of time in Israel.....I know, and they know, the ultimate (and only) solution to this problem.  It is very simple......

Israel will allow the "Palestinians" 48 hours to vacate Israel, Gaza, and the Golan Heights (all areas from the Sinai/Egyptian border to the Syrian and Jordanian borders).....or face internment and deportation, or extermination.....period.....

If it starts an all-out war between the Arab countries and Israel....so be it.....its happened before, and the outcome won't be any different than the last two times.....

US may be seeking regime change in Israel.

It sounds like a possibility that Lord Zero would advance.

.. and Congress is silent on this because???????

Quote
Our new friends and out-of-date allies   [Victor Davis Hanson]

The acrimony between the Obama administration and Israel over new building in Jerusalem was supposedly over appearances, timing, dissing the U.S., etc. But that concern over symbolism works both ways. While we have brewed up a new crisis with Israel over its supposedly horrendous act of building homes, we say nothing to the Palestinians about the far more abhorrent symbolic act of naming a town square in honor of a mass murderer. Meanwhile, President Obama has just sent another video to Iran, reminding Ahmadinejad et al. of his prior outreach — this to a regime that both boasts about mass murdering to come, and sends its agents into Iraq to kill Americans.

Taken individually, each of these incidents can invite discussion and debate. Taken together, they raise the question that has so often been raised over the past year: Why does this administration hector or ignore our friends, while it appeases our rivals and enemies?

Various answers have been given: Allies are passé; they offer no chance for headline diplomatic breakthroughs brought on by our president’s charisma and postnational magnetism. At the same time, in their distrust of what America has traditionally stood for (a powerful, proud, free-market Western nation), belligerents abroad like Castro, Chávez, and the Palestinians voice themes that Americans like Van Jones or Anita Dunn (to take a symbolic pair) share. Thus, the flip side to nationalizing health care, banks, and student loans at home is to look sympathetically at those who long ago did the same abroad. Seen in that light, the growing rejection of Britain or Israel is the logical symbolic bookend to the Obama administration's multicultural, statist agenda here at home. Another answer is that, like academics who rarely venture out from the university lounge, the members of this administration think our enemies and rivals listen to reason and logic and were deemed difficult only because of a sort of anti-Enlightenment denseness in past administrations, and especially the Bush administration.

Whatever the cause, the effect is now clear: there is no such thing any more as allies and rivals, much less friends and enemies. That Manicheanism is part of our Neanderthal past. We won’t judge anyone abroad on what he does or says — unless he represents forces of traditional privilege and is sympathetic with traditions within the United States that we are desperately trying to shed.

The problem is obvious. The thuggish regimes that we court, given the value systems that have made them what they are, will interpret all this as either disingenuousness or the decadence of those who don’t even believe in themselves. And so the pressures on us to engage in ever more appeasement will only magnify. Because America now apologizes for everything, and China and Russia for nothing, soon the impression will be fixed abroad that America has a lot to atone for and its authoritarian rivals nothing to answer for. Pressures for constant concessions and reparations will mount on democratic us, and lessen on autocratic others.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Face it, Obama, like most of the DemocRAT Cabal are anti-Semitic. They are no different from Communists and Nazis.

My sympathy for the Israelis is tempered by the fact that their own policy has been to displace Palestinians and move in settlers, using their court system and legislative power to steal land with a veneer of legality that would appall even our wildest eminent domain land-grab advocates if someone tried them here.  They have thereby purposely set up a situation over the past 40 years where it would be increasingly harder to ever solve the problem of a land settlement in a way that any non-Israeli (or apocalyptic Evangelical) could ever buy as reasonable enough to sign.
