I'm running for Democratic County Committee

as a precinct chair. It's official as I picked up the paperwork today.

I live in such a small town that I only need one signature to get my name on the ballot (which will be my own) and I will be on there. NOw if only this paperwork were not so confusing

I can understand the issues but not the application. Yeah. Right.

3. there is an incumbent

I know nothing about her but apparently she's not very active in the party as I've gone to all the meetings, etc. I don't think i've ever met her. The boro clerk told me she's been the chair for years. I'll knock on doors the weekend before the primary and I'll have my friends help me out.

There are 4 precincts in my town, and 8 committee chairpersons for each party. (a male and a female Democrat and Republican). The male position for my precinct is vacant but of course the female position is not.

I want the Democratic Party of Monmouth County to become more progressive and more assertive. I figure it's time to take matters into my own hands.

Sounds like a plan.

4. Great! All the best!

I just turned in my paperwork to be a precinct delegate for a third term.

Best of luck!

5. Good job! I'm the precinct chair in my precinct, simply because

I was the only one who wanted the vacant position. I already have a web site up for the precinct, and it's already getting hits. I plan to turn the position into an active one, against all precedent.

10. Congrats on running for chair, I am also a precinct chair. .

Have you talked the woman who is chair now.

She might give the job to you if she isn't active.

Someone ran against me and I would have given the job to him.

This guy cost me my job at early voting by putting my name on the ballot.

He cost me a lot of money, I couldn't work early voting because of this.

I still won, but damn I would have rather worked early voting.

A passel of parasites. I'd rather see a non DUmmy democrat hold the position over a DU DUmmy.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

4. I worked hard on the Corzine campaign

and I have the same fears that you do. Another major fear of mine is for Frank Lautenberg's health as Christie would be free to replace him with whoever he chooses.

However it just sets up to hand him his fat ass at the polls in 2013. We have a rock star waiting in the wings who would easily defeat Christie should he choose to run (and since this is NJ barring scandal)

Okay, from 1500 miles away, I'm confused about this.

These primitives are talking about a position within the county Democrat party, not the county government.

Usually around here, in the heart of the spinal column of America, anyone who wants a party position (as opposed to an elective office) usually gets it.  It's not a big deal.

Truie, I lived in the corrupt blue states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey for a few years, but that was a while back, and I never paid much attention, as the local, county, and state Democrat machines were going to not count my (R) vote anyway.

I'm suspecting that the New Jersey primitives want these county Democrat party jobs for reasons that have nothing to do with helping the Democrat party, but rather helping one get an "inside" on jobs for relatives and payoffs for themselves.

Now I'm confused as well. Has there ever been some other reason for wanting a job with the democrat party in the peoples' republic states?

Well, we have county chairmen and precinct chairmen and somesuch out here, both parties, but it's not a big deal.  If someone wants to be one, he has the job.

With the corrupt blue states and cities, I'm now suspecting it's the local and county Democrat chairmen who select personnel for cushy governmental jobs, rather than some local or county human resources department?

Also, if the health care deform passes, they think that, by being in the Party apparatus, they'll get preferential positions for expensive (and rare) treatments.

And in those blue hellhole peoples' republics, they most certainly will.

They would be put into a cage and left to rot. They would be a liability and a financial drain.

Wonder who the rock star waiting in the wings is. Rockstar to a DUmmie is usually someone like Willie Pitt or the social misfit in the White House, who always end up being all hat and no cowboy.

I think the DUmb**** might be talking about Jon Bon Jovi, who made some rumblings about going into politics not too long ago, IIRC.
