That is my whole gripe. Which is it? Race, or Color? How come our option is white, but the reds, yellows, browns, and blacks don't get a color too???
I am just being difficult. ![:whatever:](https://conservativecave.com/home/Smileys/default/whatever.gif)
No you aren't.
Your point was part of our discussion also.
Speaking from the standpoint of the Fair Housing Act it has been amended many times over the years.
Basically, people cannot be discriminated with regard to race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin.
It has been amended to "race, color and national origin" because over the years....each term has altered it's meaning.
First it was just race....because it was a white or black issue after slavery ended.
Then color was added....because it wasn't such a white/black issue. Asians and Native American Indians were being discriminated against.
Then national origin was added....in order to make sure if one didn't get it (understand that people cannot be discriminated against) as far as race or color was considered...then maybe national origin would clarify.
Just for clarification....sex does not refer to hetero/homosexuality...it refers to male/female.
At this point in time....sexual preference has not yet been explicitly specified, though that is probably going to happen. It is sort of covered under familial status - what constitutes a family unit....but not gender specific.
