Some of you are being just a tad hard on this man.
Allot of pressure on this 70 year old man at this time and to get the heart stopping news about his wife and daughter, the potential big changes in his personal life, I find no reason to criticize the actions of anyone under those conditions.
Once his wife was stabilized and no surgery needed so far there was nothing he could do for his wife, he also had to tend to his injured daughter.
We all know what it is like to have a family member or good friend come to grief, it takes a while for the shock to wear off. Priorities must be managed and set.
Anyone that serves their country in any form place their Country first, those that have served in the military know this as they must leave family's even where the health of their family is in question.
He has not done anything but what we expect our service men and woman do every day, he went back to work long enough to put someone in his place, then and only then was he able to focus on family.
God, Country, Family in that order.
