Join me in a hearty "**** YOU PHILLIP MORRIS" as I celebrate 6 months of being smoke-free

Dear Phillip Morris,

For nearly 25 years I was addicted to your product. It started with my Grandfathers' addiction which was passed on to my father and then to me. It was re-enforced by the notion that smoking was cool, because let's face it, Bruce Willis(John McClain), Mel Gibson(Det. Riggs) and Don Johnson(Det. Crockett) showed that it was indeed cool.

But with the help of Chantix I have been able to finally break the addiction and for the first time in over half my life, I am no longer a slave to you or your product!

So **** YOU Phillip Morris and all the other cigarette companies that have deceived millions!

I no longer need you!

6 Months Smoke Free as of 3/5/2010

25 years ago was 1985.  Who didn't know that smoking was bad for you in 1985?  Was cigarette addiction a big secret in 1985?

You knew it was bad, you thought it was cool and decided to do it anyway.  You have no one to blame but yourself.

17. 1998..Phillip Morris admitted they ADDED stuff to make tobacco more addictive.

I was SO mad I quit smoking that day.
Day 4 was rough, but after that, my anger was greater than any cravings that popped up.

So thanks, Phillip Morris aka Altria...you have saved me a ton of money and to this day I am
nicotine free and STILL pissed at you.

One day at a time, it really works, JANdad......anger is helpful indeed.

This is funny.  You found out that Phillip Morris added stuff that made it practically impossible to quit, it is so, so addictive.  It wasn't your fault you smoked..
You got so angry that you...

 quit, successfully

I guess whatever they added in didn't work so well after all.

This explains why it took 25 years: DUmbass was looking to everyone but himself to explain HIS behavior.

According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I the government finally going to ban tobacco when Lord Zero manages to quit?  Is there  any other legally available product that has been proven to be so harmful to a persons health?

As an ex-smoker, I enjoyed the taste of smoking. Quit because I knew it was bad for my health, and have zero animosity against the tobacco companies.

This just sounds like a bouncy dummie tale.

I remember seeing an anti-smoking cartoon from the 1700's somewhere.

I think anyone with a brain knows they breathing in smoke of any type into your lungs is unhealthy. I mean who wouldn't know that without being told??

I have never even thought about smoking.

There is that alcohol stuff. It should be outlawed.

I seem to recall that it was once.  By a nanny state Progressive, no less.  Then it was un-outlawed when th' gub'mint couldn't keep the sheeple from being outlaws.

Let someone tell them there are 50-70 percent more carcinogens in marijuana smoke though, and they hit the ceiling.

Plus, they want to legalize pot. Next, it will be all drugs.

But there have been many studies that alcohol in moderation has beneficial effects.  That hasn't been shown for tobacco.  Anecdotal evidence to the contrary, me taking a smoke break at work keeps me from going insane.

Liberalism will get you killed a lot sooner than cigarette smoke will, primitive.  Rid yourself of that, join the adult world, and you will have really accomplished something.

None of them ever take responsibility for their own actions. It's no wonder they want government to control every aspect of their lives. They seem to be incapable of doing anything on their own...

Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

I had a friend who tried Chantix.  Didn't work, and introduced the strangest, most unwelcome thoughts and dreams into the guy's head.  Freaked him out.  Quit the Chantix, took smoking back up.

Look at that DUmmy up there, still angry after 4 years.  How can anyone live with constant soul-grinding anger day after day, year after year?  These are the people who develop those 2 little lines between their eyebrows by age 30 that makes them look 20 years older and perpetually nasty.  Not hawt.

For me, Chantix worked like magic. I used it three years ago, shortly after it went on the market. From about Day 3 until this moment I had zero desire for a smoke, after a lifetime of smoking. I never had the dreams or any serious side effects, but I did have some intermittent nausea and nervousness. Even when I had spells of restlessness I never craved a cigarette; it was a strange feeling. I thought it would be far more difficult to quit. My only complaint is that it's expensive as hell, and my insurance wouldn't cover it. I'm sure these DUmmies get it from some kind of welfare program.

Let me see if I understand...you're blaming your smoking addiction on FICTIONAL movie characters and a tobacco company? So evidently, John McClain threw you off a high rise with only a fire hose attached to your waste, where you landed in Sonny Crockett's boat and sped off at break-neck speed to a train yard and you were held at gun point by Riggs doing the crazy-guy thing until you agreed to light up and smoke a pack a day? Wow.
