275 million reasons to quit

At what point of lottery winnings would you SERIOUSLY consider quitting your job?

At my age 500,000-1,000,000 after taxes would be enough to get me through the rest of life.

5 Mil would be enough.

If I was to win 200 mil, I would start a charitable foundation.  It would be fun,do a lot of good, keep me busy and let me memorialize my late Mom and my current wife.

Quote
None of the tickets sold for the Powerball game Wednesday night matched all six numbers drawn, which were 12, 19, 30, 34, 36 and Powerball 8. The Power Play number was 4.

Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $238.6 million jackpot. The prize goes to an estimated $275 million for Saturday.

Tickets that match the first five numbers, but miss the Powerball, win $200,000 each, and there were sixteen of those. They were sold in: Indiana (3), Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri (2), Oklahoma, Pennylvania (5), Rhode Island, South Carolina, West Virginia.

So after taxes you would get something like 200,000,000.00 I think.

I would fund all of the libraries in this area, they need updating so much here.

I would buy at least 100 acres near here and build my dream home.

I would adopt at least 2 kids out of social services.

I would bulldoze my mother in laws house and give her a brand new one all on one story because her knees are bad.

I would start scholarships for low income kids in the area of Kentucky where my parents grew up   I would name them after my grandparents.

I would hire a maid.

I would get a new pair of shoes.

I would also give my BFF a million dollars for shock collars for her dog and kids. :-)

I don't roll out of bed for anything less than $100 million. It's in my VRWC handbook.

Seriously, it really wouldn't take that much for me to walk away and relax on an island for a few years. But, I'd love to hit the big jackpot so I could donate to charity and piss off liberals with my activivsm.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

!0 million after taxes.  Anything less would go straight into something that could grow me some money for retirement.

I thought the same thing!  :lmao:

Seriously, I would be happy with $10 million.  Invest most of it in mutual funds (where my college fund is situated), and continue to go to school. :)

Me too.  I have already vested military and civil service pensions, I could start collecting the civil service one anytime except for the cash flow issue, and the military one starts paying handsomely in three years.  I'm really only working to fill in the three years at this pointm half a mill would obviate the need for it entirely.

I would use my money much more charitably. I would adopt a now destitute and homeless, former elitist with big ears and a funny grimace.

$100,000 would be enough to get a career I would enjoy more.
$2,000,000 and I would start my own business.
$275,000,000, hmmm, I might go a little crazy for a while.
