However, family members found 50-year-old Messenger electrocuted when they arrived.
 


Mr Pimentel said Messenger apparently urinated into a roadside ditch but didn't see the live wire. The urine stream likely served as a conductor, allowing the electricity to reach his body....

Apparently the live wire didn't like the message that Messenger was delivering.

Agreed.  That wire must have been hidden pretty well.  I mean, it doesn't take a wiz kid to know one doesn't urinate on live wires.

I guess Mythbuster's isn't infallible after all.  Call this "urban legend" probable.

I believe the Brit version did try with an electric fence.

Seems that YouTube is down for the time being.  Will have to look later.

Not from a standing position, no.  They did get it to work by having the ballistics gel dummy's pecker positioned about three inches from the rail.

They don't always get it right.  As I recall they 'Busted' the 'Sniper shot through his scope' story but a recent History Channel show on legendary snipers and their famous shots replicated it perfectly.

Living in the boonies teaches kids about real life.

As kids we use to go rocking and rolling down dirt roads and every male in town knew not to get out of the car at night and piss anywhere  near a farm.

Today we have up here in the boonies farms that breed Buffalo.     Any idea what kind of fence one needs to keep them in .?    Real high voltage electric fences.   

Those fences to keep milk cows from wandering off are penny anti stuff for what is needed to keep a dozen Buffalo from stampeding.

Why the upsurge in small farms raising Buffalo, I believe it is the fact that with heart disease catching up to the oldsters, the demand for non fat meat is out of sight.

Just a lesson for you guys, if you got to go at night, in the dark, no one is looking so just squat and do your thing.        I have yet to hear of a female getting shocked by a live wire.
