Canada owns the most Gold medal win !

Canada became First nation to ever win most Gold medals in Winter Olympics, thus far!

WOW!

As predicted, the America-hating primitives have a ball, but I found this interesting:

What does that mean?

NASCAR technicians built the 4 man bob sled....how you like that, DUmmies. A bunch of rednecks can out design your elite asses. The building of the next generation of American bob sleds will be centered in Concord NC and done by non-union hillbillies.  :rotf:

Enough of the degrading of the NASCAR boys...they may not be HAA-vaaard graduates but they sure ain't a bunch of over educated idiots.

Can a DUmmie even change a flat tire? DUmmie solution: Turn it over, it's only flat on one side.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

The USA also set a record with 37 total medals also the most ever in the Winter Olympics.

Yup. And just between us here (I've bitten my tongue and congratulated the Canucks at a different message board-the Brits have been trying to "stir the pot" between us, but the adults at least are on to their game, LOL)--Canada's not even a contender in the Summer Games, so if we combine our medals from summer and winter games, we rule   :-)

That medal count includes a bobsled gold medal that ends a fifty eight year drought. Gold and silver in nordic combine first time they won any medal in that event. The US althetes did very well, even without the goverment providing their health care. :-)

It's only a tiny, tiny group in America who cares a whit about ice hockey or "nordic combined", whatever that is, or, really, any of the Winter Olympic sports except maybe the downhill and figure skating. And now they've added a bunch of X Games "sports" to attract the stoner audience. Really, the Winter Olympics is a lame show from start to finish. The sports are so boring, NBC only shows a few minutes of competition per hour.

I think the only entertaining thing I saw was on the late night show when that commie Steven Colbert crawled into NBC's fake fireplace and lay down amid the phony flames.

LOL. At least we made them fight for the men's hockey gold. Also just between us here-I'm sure glad their ice dancers took gold this time, last time it was a national cause celebre when they got silver, headlines in every newspaper until the team whined their way into co-gold. I can't say if they deserved it or not-don't know enough about the "sport", LOL, of "ice dancing" (why isn't ballet an Olympic sport? it requires just as much strength and skill, and has more consistency-when was the last time the man dropped the woman in a performance of "Swan Lake" or something, LOL), but regardless of whether they deserved it, they moaned until they got it!

And America is a contender to beat in both Summer AND Winter Games, not just Winter.

I don't know much about the winter sports, but the snowboarding was kind of fun to watch.

My favorite Olympic sport is in the summer when they have those little girls waving a ribbon on a stick, and tossing bowling pins. Eurotrash at its finest. And they get Olympic medals!

I'm looking forward to when ESPN takes over televising the Olympics. The World Wide Leader won't tolerate these obscure sports that are nothing but ratings killers. Rhythmic gymnastics? Ice Hockey? Biathlon? Fencing? Team handball? Curling? You've gotta be kidding! Those things turn off TVs quicker than an ice storm. They've added the X-Games stoner crap sports already. Why not sports with proven huge audiences? Bullriding! Texas Hold 'Em! Demolition Derby! Tractor Pull! Even bass fishing! You may not think it's serious, but TV audiences would soar compared to the unknown goofy sports they have now. Just a few years ago, who would have believed the Olympics would include hippie snowboarders wearing pothead outfits?

I heard pole dancing may be added to the Olympics. I might watch that.
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

Well, there was an "emergency" shipment of condoms to the Olympic Village . . . Seems that they had run through the 100,000 or so they had there.

Man, but that was a great game! Absolutely the two best matched teams in the tournament.

Yeah it was, tie in the last couple of minutes, then the fatal goal.

I'm glad for the Canadians, really, it meant so much to them, but I've had to swear off visiting the comments sections regarding the Olympics right now, because if I see one more Canuck crow about they own, and rule, in sport, I'm going to yell.  The US got the most medals period of any Winter Games, and we also usually rack up in the Summer Games, where the Canucks are pretty much no-shows. It's the Australians then that we have to deal with telling us how they rule and own sport, when they're no-shows at the Winter Games. The US places high in both, but we have to deal with this kind of mess unless we take every gold in both Games. The others choose to forget that we're contenders in both. And it says something that we're always the ones they want to beat.

I don't have network, just satellite, so the only Olympics I saw was on CNBC or MSNBC.  It was women's curling ad nauseum, night after night.  They threw us a bone of a hockey game every now and then.  If this is the way it's played, I'm checking out of all things Olympic.

Not only that, but how many fall downs were there that took us out of Gold? Has to be one of the worst designed winter games in my memory! The stinkin' Koreans teamed up on Ono, is that how you spell his name? It was dirty pool from the start! Little pricks should have been thrown out of the games entirely!

One thing I'd like to know is if anyone has ever figured out how curling is scored. I guess they have in Canada, because spectators got excited from time to time, and they actually were spectators. I've seen curling lots of times, but have never understood how to tell who's winning. Same thing with rugby and cricket.

I was following the Facebook comments on the Canadian Olympics site, the comments were live as the events occurred. During the event where Ohno was disqualified for pushing (Canadian Hamelin took gold), I was surprised to learn how many South Koreans know English, judging from their use of it to make downright blatant racist remarks about the North American skaters. The US takes such a rap for being "jingoistic"-if the media could read Korean, they'd get a taste of just what "jingoism" can really be. They probably wouldn't admit it though, it wouldn't be PC to admit that anyone other than whites, particularly Americans, can be racist and ultra-nationalistic.
