House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urged her colleagues to back a major overhaul of U.S. health care even if it threatens their political careers, a call to arms that underscores the issue's massive role in this election year.

Lawmakers sometimes must enact policies that, even if unpopular at the moment, will help the public, Pelosi said in an interview being broadcast Sunday the ABC News program "This Week."
"We're not here just to self-perpetuate our service in Congress," she said. "We're here to do the job for the American people.

I wholeheartedly support their plan to try to enact socialist health scare.  Win or lose on the issue, they will lose their jobs in November and any damage they have caused until then can be reversed by the new Republican majorities.

Just how many will actually listen to her and risk losing their seats?

I don't think there are that many.....they want their jobs or they never would have run in the first place. Those that don't ...are not running again.

Hi,

You know for the life of me I cannot figure it out.  What do they fear more than the wrath of the voters?  They know the public is opposed to the health care bill.  When Hillary tried it they finally dropped it.  Now it is like they are more afraid of dropping the bill so what or who do they fear? 

They have sawed off their limb now, because they are toast for trying it and now are liked cornered animals and doing really stupid stuff.
