They expect to be loved and why shouldn't they be loved? They're smarter than us, they are filled with gumdrops, puppy dogs and rainbows and they have all the best ideas.
You know, I suspect the primitives feel intimidated because they don't like to be proven wrong.
One may substitute the word "silly" in place of "wrong" in what follows.
(By the way, this poll is NOT part of the series of polls in the DUmping Ground, which were taken as a result of primitives complaining about us at my clarebootheluce@gmail.com address--this is just the normal usual every-three-months poll that I've done ever since conservativecave got started.)
Which is a stupid way to feel.
Being proven wrong is something that happens to us all; no one is perfect.
I suppose it's a matter of how one takes being proven wrong.
Both Tanker and USA4ME have proven franksolich wrong with crushing finality at times, but that scarcely dents, scratches, or tarnishes the respect and affection I have for them, both gentlemen and friends of the highest order.
Perhaps it's a lingering after-effect of being the youngest child but one in a large family dominated by personalities much stronger than oneself; one just shrugs the shoulders, okay I was wrong, and moves on.
Being wrong does not make one a lesser person, less valuable to God.
I don't understand why it's so important for the primitives to be "right."
The other thing I suspect intimidates the primitives is their unwilllingness to support their positions. It's one thing to say something, and quite more difficult to defend it.
The primitives have two chances to defend themselves against decent and civilized people; they can either respond to us over the Great Divide, from Skins's island, or they can come here, register, and comment.
As we all--decent and civilized people, and primitives, alike--know, we can't go over
there, so the DUmpster provides a means, at least a crude means, of discussion and debate of the issues.
Why the primitives don't come over here, register, and comment, eludes me; it's not like they're going to get tossed out. There's only two rules here, (a) no divulging of personal information about other people and (b) no trashing of people in the military.
Outside of that, we're pretty open.
It needs recorded that the last primitive who was here, was here for exactly two whole years, basking under the warmth of our benevolence, enjoying himself and having a great time. But alas he snapped (but only after
two years, remember), and violated rule (b) above.
